Any bailiff that would do this is the same caliber as any 9/11terrorist. Who do these vermin badges think they're fooling? Do they think they are above the law? Cops are on complete power trips. Were they bullied as kids and now feel the need to exercise authority on anything they can to appease their superiority complex? These assholes should be jailed and treated as criminals at least the same as citizens would be if they committed the same crime, not less. They should also be held to a higher standard and a wall behind the court house erected. When a cop is found guilty of a crime or pulls shit like this, he should be put up against that wall. A group of his coworkers are to pull their weapons and shoot him dead. If any of them miss they should be put against the wall as well.

OHP released the dash cam footage of the trooper involved in a scuffle with a paramedic.
There was a stalled car on the side of the road in the way so the Ambulance could not pull over to let the Police Officer pass him on the way to a call, so the Police Officer turns around and pulls over the Ambulance on the way to the Emergency Room to give the Ambulance driver a ticket and picks a fight with an EMT in the process.

If you have something that you don't want anyone to know, maybe you shouldn't be doing it in the first place. If you really need that kind of privacy, the reality is that search engines, including Google, do retain this information.
I've thought about Schneier's response (that people want privacy for a whole host of reasons, like when we make love, sing in the shower, and do things that are totally legal at the time of law) for some time now and I have come to this conclusion...

US law can apply anywhere in the world, so long as a technology company has control over foreign data, a court rules.
A US judge has ordered Microsoft to hand over foreign data it stores back to the US, despite allegedly strong privacy protections in Europe to mitigate such processes. The logic of the court is that because the US-headquartered software giant controls the data it stores overseas, its foreign subsidiary companies are just as applicable to US law. US District Judge Loretta Preska in New York said the ruling will be stayed to allow Microsoft to appeal the decision to an appeals court. "It is a question of control, not a question of the location of that information," Preska said in the ruling.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) has filed a lawsuit against the National Security Agency (NSA) over its widespread, warrantless surveillance program.
The privacy and civil liberties group is representing 19 groups, including a Los Angeles church, an environmental protection group, and religious foundations, under claims that the U.S. government is violating the Fourth and Fifth Amendments.

After five years, I've decided to dump my daily driver (an iPhone 4S) for a hot new Samsung S4. In fact, we're getting two of them.
