You may have seen an article yesterday about "ransomware" on SourceForge and Github websites.

The exploit in question leads victims to fake sites, where their PCs are then infected with the offending malicious ransomware. First, we would like to state that no malware in this instance was hosted on SourceForge, but rather the content on SourceForge linked to malware hosted off-site. We wanted to also assure you that within minutes of becoming aware of the problem, our team here at SourceForge, had removed the offending content and blocked the addresses from which it was being created. Likewise, it's apparent that our peers at Github took similar actions to address the problem.

When little Shelby Duis was found dead at her Spirit Lake home - with massive head injuries, fractured ribs and two broken hands - it sent a shock through the entire state.

Neighbors and day-care workers had warned child protective workers for nearly a year before the 2-year-old's January 2000 death that the girl was being abused. Then, later that same year, an Oskaloosa man came forward to say that he'd told officials for months his 23-month-old son was being mistreated by his estranged wife and her boyfriend before the boy was hospitalized with critical brain and spinal injuries.

Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) explains that if taxes aren't immediately raised on a small minority of the population who already pay a disproportionately large percentage of all taxes, it is the same as if we are being held hostage by Republican terroris

He also explains that, since none of the people in the room will receive the tax increase he is promoting, it is totally cool to impose it on those not present. He is flabbergasted that everybody doesn't see the wisdom in his argument. Here is a thought, Senator: Don't raise the taxes of anyone and cut the size of your damned Leviathan state.

You and I have that in common, Congressman Waxman.

But acknowledging the depths to which this not-technically-a-recession/depression is plaguing America's productivity is where Rep. Henry Waxman (D-California) and my similarities end, because I've just about had it with liberals blaming the 'inherited' economy on Bush, acting like President Obama is completely innocent and didn't do anything to add to the deficits, and lamenting that our republic is functioning exactly the way it was intended to function.

So says Whoopi (with Hasselbeck in agreement) because, after all, long lines at security checkpoints could theoretically "cripple air traffic."

I suppose that's true, but of course crippling industries via organized strikes is also a cherished tactic of unions - and somehow I can't imagine our panel here reaching quite the same heights of dudgeon in that case. I thought National Opt Out Day was stupid, but it was a perfectly legal means of protest. Some air travelers wanted TSA to change its behavior so they tried to inflict a little economic and bureaucratic pain. If the flight attendants walked out over a wage dispute, I might be annoyed but my mind wouldn't leap to an Al Qaeda analogy.

Yesterday, Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder signed right-to-work legislation into law. The death threats against him are pouring in.

The Left is blaming the conservative victims of union violence, as usual. The progressive climate of hate is always our fault. Today's column sets the Democrats' call for blood in the context of Obama-era union violence and incitement. He helped build that...

There's a reaction to yesterday's post which suggests we find fault with Google for "not doing their job" by letting malware into Play. No. We didn't take Google to task on the matter of prevention. It's about its response.

It literally took less than 10 seconds for us to locate a second dummy account being used to push alternate versions of Dropdialer. Google's Android Security team had already removed the first two threats more than six hours earlier. Why was the "Vahtang Maliev" account still online? Does "Android Security" not know how to utilize Google Search?

Just listen to her. This minute and a half really says it all. Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) succinctly explains that not only should the private sector be displaced by the government, accomplishing it isn't a principled fight. The end justifies any means.

She made herself clear. The government will displace the private sector and the government does not intend to fight fair in attaining that goal. I just watched this video again and it sickens me. This is about far more than medical care. This is about the soul of America.

President Obama may have just made his most disturbing move yet. Forget the legislative process, he's just granting immunity to illegal immigrants because he wants to. No Congress, no nothing. A cowardly act clearly designed to pander for votes.

TheBlaze.com is reporting that the Obama Administration will stop deporting and start granting work permits to younger illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children and have since led law-abiding lives. Writers note: Ironic that someone whose starting point of legality is "an illegal immigrant" would be capable of leading a "law-abiding life"- interesting logic.
