This dish is a family favorite - one that is sure to be a crowd pleaser on these hot summer days. Frozen Pea Salad is best served well chilled. This dish is not recommended for camp outs or picnics where you will be traveling away from home.
Mix together all ingredients, except chow mein noodles in a large mixing bowl, chill in the freezer approximately 30 minutes. Top with a handful of chow mein noodles and serve. Easily serves 6 - 8 generous portions.
This is a simpler variation of the Frozen Pea Salad, that is quick and easy to make and just as yummy.
Combine: lettuce, tuna, mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Fold in frozen peas. Chill mixture in freezer for about 20-minutes (or as long as you can stand to wait). Fill serving bowls, top with a handful of chow mein noodles and serve.
Note: If substituting fresh peas in this recipe, after hulling, be sure to freeze before using.
