An eight-month pregnant mother couldn't get her son to the bathroom in time, so he peed where he stood which caused a nearby deputy to charge the mom with a crime.

Police officers in America have what is called 'officer discretion' as one of their many tools-meaning that if a police officer wants to let you go for a violation he or she thinks didn't cause any harm, they can do just that.

The Corporate Executive Accountability Act is yet another push from Sen. Elizabeth Warren who has focused much of her presidential campaign on holding corporations and their leaders accountable for both their power and perceived corruption.

"When a criminal on the street steals money from your wallet, they go to jail. When small-business owners cheat their customers, they go to jail," Warren wrote in a Washington Post op-ed published on Wednesday morning. "But when corporate executives at big companies oversee huge frauds that hurt tens of thousands of people, they often get to walk away with multimillion-dollar payouts."

Google isn't a search company anymore, they're a tracking company. Google trackers have been found on 75% of the top million websites.

Investigation by the Associated Press revealed that Google continues to track location data even after a consumer has turned off the setting. In "Google Data Collection," Douglas C. Schmidt, Professor of Computer Science at Vanderbilt University, catalogs how much data Google is collecting about consumers.

A proposed Iowa bill would require that homeschool families allow school and government officials into their homes to conduct health and wellness checks on their children.

Introduced by Democrat State Representative Mary Mascher, H.F. 272 would mandate that homeschoolers report in regularly to local public school district officials, or face visits from social-service agents and other government officials. Reads the text of the bill: "The board of directors of a school district shall conduct quarterly home visits to check on the health and safety of children located within the district who are receiving independent private instruction or private instruction."

A state House bill meant to address the deaths of two Effingham County teenagers was changed Thursday to answer concerns of parents who homeschool their children and dislike government intrusion.

"This won't catch every one," the bill's sponsor, state Rep. Bill Hitchens, R-Rincon, said during a Juvenile Justice Committee meeting Wednesday, but he said it will be worthwhile if it saves one child. "I don't believe it's significant in terms of numbers but if it's you, it's pretty significant." House Bill 530 is meant to prevent another case like the one in Effingham County, where siblings Mary and Elwyn Crocker Jr. quit attending public school and were found buried behind their family's house in the Guyton area Dec. 20.

Saint Vincent Hospital has agreed to rehire six former employees it fired after they refused to get flu shots in late 2013 and early 2014 due to their religious beliefs.

The Erie hospital also will provide about $300,000 in back pay and compensatory damages to the employees as part of an agreement to settle a lawsuit filed on behalf of the workers by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in September. A consent decree that ended the case and detailed the settlement terms was filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Erie.

Tom Hagen and his wife expected to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in 2019. Today, one of Norway's wealthiest men just wants to know that Anne-Elizabeth Falkevik Hagen, the childhood sweetheart he married at age 19, is alive.

Her disappearance and suspected abduction from the couple's home on Halloween has gripped a small, wealthy Scandinavian country with the fourth-lowest homicide rate of 36 European countries. Some argue that violent crime happens infrequently enough among the 5.3 million Norwegians that police are unprepared when it does occur.

A prominent advocate in the state's medical cannabis movement is urging the criminal justice system to consider whether the Utah Gun Exchange co-owner charged last week with intent to distribute the drug was using it as medicine.

During a November search of Bryan Alan Melchior's Sandy home, police say, officers found more than a pound of marijuana, THC products, $36,247 in cash and nearly 30 guns. While police had received complaints that Melchior - known for his counterprotests against Parkland, Fla., high school students - was allegedly selling drugs from his home, DJ Schanz with the Utah Patients Coalition has a different explanation.

On 27 November 2018, the Minneapolis law firm, Meshbesher and Spence, Ltd., filed a suit against me on behalf of its client, Plaintiff Leonard Pozner, for defamation, and I was properly served on 29 November 2018.

Under Wisconsin law, a Defendant has 45 days to submit a response, which would make it imperative that I reply by 11 January 2019, with either an ANSWER or a MOTION TO DISMISS. I filed an ANSWER rather than a MOTION TO DISMISS early on 4 January 2019 because I do not want the case to be dismissed. I want to have a formal, legal resolution. The Complaint is narrowly drawn to focus on assertions I have made-no doubt, hundreds of times-that the death certificate that Leonard Pozner gave to Kelley Watt is a fabrication, where the Complaint cites two instances in which I made that assertion, one from Ch. 11 of the book, NOBODY DIED AT SANDY HOOK (2nd edition, 2016), which I edited, and one from "How We Know Sandy Hook Was A FEMA Drill, Nobody Died, for an Anti-Gun Agenda" (5 August 2018), published as a contribution to SANDY HOOK TRUTH: MEMORANDA FOR THE PRESIDENT (2018).
