If we don't pay attention to what's happening, in our food supply, to our farmers, the plants, and ultimately our grocery store we are going to wake up one day and realize we trusted the health of our children and the health of our families to the government. And the government let us down.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed three cases of a new flu virus, which originated in pigs but apparently spread from person to person, in three Iowa children.

The CDC has counted a total of 18 cases of this new virus, an influenza A strain known as S-OtrH3N2, in two years. That suggests that it's not spreading quickly or easily, says William Schaffner, a professor at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and spokesman for the Infectious Diseases Society of America. Schaffner notes that flu viruses mutate and swap genes all the time.

A British mother has appeared on national television condemning antidepressants, saying that when she was prescribed them she began fantasising about killing her own children.

Katinka Blackford Newman appeared on ITV's This Morning saying that the antidepressants prescribed by her doctor caused her to become aggressive, delusional and psychotic. What happened to her might only happen in one out of every 100 to 1,000 cases, but that's far too many when an entire family's well-being is at stake.

When women reach menopause, i.e. climax, they begin to notice various changes, such as hot flashes, insomnia, mood changes, irritation, poor concentration, depression; moreover, they cannot enjoy intercourse because their vaginal mucus membrane is dry.

Women do not enter menopause directly. Before this period, there is the period of perimenopause that occurs several years before the last menstruation. As previously mentioned, there are numerous changes in the organism- the hormones do not work as usual; there is no ovulation, irregular menstruation and frequent bleeding appear. Since there is not enough estrogen, there are other changes in the metabolism, in the skin, mood, etc.

Sacramento sheriff's deputies have been playing NSA. They tool around town with suitcase-sized StingRay surveillance devices in their squad cars, scooping up cellphone data from whomever happens to be within a one-mile radius.

The deputies have reportedly been doing their shady business without warrants, and dozens of law enforcement agencies nationwide may be doing likewise. But hey, what's the big deal? After all, the feds say it's OK. Not only that, but federal agents have even been telling local officers to keep their StingRay shenanigans hush hush. If a judge asks, the feds advise locals to say they obtained evidence, not from a StingRay, but from a "confidential source."

"You can refuse this swab, you can refuse a breathalyzer, you can refuse to participate in a field sobriety test, you can refuse to answer questions," says criminal defense attorney Mark Gallagher.

"Now, law enforcement doesn't like this advice, but we do still have a constitution." ReasonTV's Tracy Oppenheimer sat down with Gallagher to discuss the latest addition to LAPD's arsenal: saliva swabs that allegedly detect drug use. Gallagher advises to always decline sobriety tests, especially because these saliva swabs have yet to prove their efficacy in determining if drivers are indeed impaired from marijuana or other illegal substances. "It doesn't tell us when they took it [marijuana], or how much they took, and how is it affecting their ability to drive the vehicle. And that's really what we need to know, to know whether or not that person is a safety risk on the road," says Gallagher.
