Old Alleghany Day - Underground Gold Miners Compete

ALLEGHANY, CA -- The fourth annual "Old Alleghany Day" was held on September 10th, 2005, complete with old west style gun fights and street vendors peddling their wares.

No trip to Alleghany is complete without a trip to the Underground Gold Miners Museum. The museum is a facinating place, with a mixture of gold and grit on display. The pictures tell the story of a hard life, lived at least partially underground by rugged men and women who worked hard, played hard and settled in this majestic place. Occasionally on special days such as this, "The Whopper" is put on display, as it was on this day.

Delaine Eastin, in her new roll as Executive Director of the National Institute for School Leadership in Washington, D.C. is up to her old tricks, stirring up animosity between the homeschool community and public school adherents.

Many have offered that if Ms. Eastin had been inclined to expend as much time doing her job, fixing the glaring problems of the public school system she served, insteaded of wasting precious energy in opposition to homeschoolers, California students within the public schools would have faired better.

Antivirus programs can not protect you from this type of virus because the attack occurs before the context of the worm has entered a static (file or mapped memory) state.

In other words - because the worm does not really exist in the same terms as what the anti-virus "expects," your anti-virus software will be incapable of detecting the virus until *after* the virus has had the opportunity to do what it was designed to do.
