Need another reason why the Arizona Legislature needs to pry open a few of those lead-lined windows that allow Child Protective Services to protect itself from the prying eyes of outsiders? Two words: Dave Wigton.

For nearly 30 years, Wigton has worked at the agency whose only job is to protect children. Then last week, he was accused of turning a little girl into his own personal sex toy and, as a bonus, sharing kiddie porn with a teenage boy.

I waited a week to comment on the Texas case, separating 437 children from their FLDS parents, to see if any substantive evidence of abuse would emerge. It hasn't.

Even if it had, those could have been handled individually. But no, Texas plans instead to make every member of the group pay the supreme price: to strip away their beloved children. This case is about group punishment. In spite of a search warrant tainted by a false witness (the "Sarah" who doesn't exist), no actual specific evidence of abuse, or any unwilling participants in this polygamous compound, a self-righteous Texas judge had decreed that all 400 + children will not be returned to the custody of their parents.

BLAINE, Minn. -- Ron Paul supporters shook things up in at least three of Minnesota's congressional district conventions yesterday when they captured nearly all of the national delegates.

Two out of three national delegates elected were Ron Paul supporters and all three of the alternates supported Paul. After the election results were announced at the convention, they were immediately disputed when it was discovered that the candidates had agreed to support John McCain in pre-screening questions.

Members of Congress privately are infuriated and worried over a California appeals court ruling that essentially banned homeschooling in the state.

Plans still were being developed, he said. But the ultimate resolution, Farris suggested, would be an amendment to the U.S. Constitution recognizing the rights and responsibilities of parents to direct their own children's education.

Being a new home schooler here in Texas for about four weeks now, it caught my attention, when someone on MySpace posted a topic regarding home schooling in California on an abortion debate board.

This legal opinion coming out of California is no surprise regarding the fact that it is a very liberal state. So, home schoolers everywhere - beware! If this opinion sticks there is a guarantee that soon it will push through other states quickly. But, why is the California court so adamant about this opinion?

Decrying the February 28, 2008 Appellate Court decision attacking home-schooling, Assemblyman Joel Anderson (R-El Cajon) has introduced an Assembly Resolution calling upon the California Supreme Court to reverse the opinion.

Anderson's Home-Schooled Daughter Recently Accepted to U.S. Air Force Academy. Anderson and his wife Kate have home-schooled their three children. Their eldest daughter Mary, a product of this home-schooling, was recently accepted to the U.S. Air Force Academy.

A small group of protesters gathered outside the state Department of Education on Friday afternoon to decry a state appellate court ruling last month that could dramatically limit homeschooling in California.

Holding signs reading "Homeschooling is not a crime" and "Hitler banned homeschooling, too," the dozen protesters insisted that parents have a right to educate their children in whatever manner they see fit -- with or without a teaching credential.
