What message are our legislators sending to voters, when they publicly admit they haven't done their job? How many bills are passed each year that policymakers haven't even bothered to read? This is disgraceful. This is called dereliction of duties and we must demand a stop to this practice.

McAteer fears loss of local control

A proposal to do away with nearly all of the state's 58 county school superintendents is, somewhat predictably, not too popular with Nevada County Superintendent of Schools Terry McAteer.

Mirror editor Piers Morgan is sacked as the newspaper concedes photos of soldiers abusing an Iraqi were fake.

In a statement the Mirror said it had fallen victim to a "calculated and malicious hoax" and that it would be "inappropriate" for Morgan to continue. The Queen's Lancashire Regiment (QLR) said the Mirror had endangered British troops by running the pictures. Roger Goodman, of the QLR, said the regiment now felt "vindicated". Mr Goodman added: "It is just a great pity it has taken so long... and that so much damage has been done in the meantime."

The issue of whether someone should vote for the "lesser of two evils" this November has become very contentious in recent months with friends and relatives clashing to the point of creating hard feelings.

Sadly, most Americans don't really recognize that they are being deliberately herded into this direction to keep them in line and "faithful" to either the Democrat or Republican parties. Sun-Tzu is considered one of the greatest military tacticians of all time. I have learned much from studying his strategies as well as Francis Marion aka The Swamp Fox. The herding technique is one of the most effective methods of manipulating those to be conquered into the right direction. I use a bull and cape metaphor on my web site to illustrate this, but basically, this is how it works...

Conservative causes permeate the curricula of some homeschoolers. Is it education or indoctrination?

At age 7, Jared Gamble's parents took him to a rally to protest the expansion of a greyhound racetrack in Lincoln, R.I., into a gambling casino 10 minutes from their home. But the Gambles' participation in the protest that day wasn't just about their moral and civic opposition to the casino. As a homeschool family, they also considered the rally an academic field trip designed to teach their son about democracy in action.

A white teenager who moved from South Africa to America six years ago was suspended from school after nominating himself for a "Distinguished African-American Student of the Year" prize.

Trevor Richards, 16, was accused of "showing disrespect" to black pupils at Westside High School in Omaha, Nebraska. It is thought he is the only pupil to have lived in Africa. He and two friends put up campaign posters showing him making a thumbs-up sign and all three were suspended. "The posters were intended to be satire on the term 'African-American'," said one of his campaign managers, Scott Rambo. The phrase is the current politically correct label for black Americans.

But we are the freest nation in the entire world! Yes, but that's only for the immediate moment!

And it is only because of the cultural constraints placed upon a soon to be totally out-of-control bureaucracy poised for just the right moment! All the necessary 'laws' are now in place! Never mind that they are all completely unconstitutional! And never mind as well that the finishing touches of our unconstitutional "laws" have been finalized and put in place by a "limited government" Republican administration! America is now "legally" a police state!

One of the companies, Nan Inc., has gone from a small business in 1995 to the single largest locally owned federal contractor in Hawai'i today, landing 56 contracts worth a maximum of $463 million, according to an Advertiser analysis of federal procurement records.

India's state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) has clinched a multi-million dollar deal to sell 10 advanced light helicopters (ALHs) to the U.S. customs through its Israeli marketing partner.

"We have an additional order for supplying about 50 Dhruv copters from the services and the coast guard. More from the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force," Mohanty claimed, adding the requirement for the defence forces could be in the range of 300 ALHs in the coming years.

"Howard Dean wants the white trash vote," wrote Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer in recent mockery of the Vermonter. "That's clearly what [Dean] meant when he said he wanted the votes of 'guys with Confederate flags in their pickup trucks.'"

Why the Hollywood Left hates Dixie is easy to understand. It is conservative, Christian, traditionalist, hostile to the cultural revolution. But why do the neocons- After all, the folks Krauthammer calls "white trash" are the most reliable conservative voters in America, God-and-country people. They enlist in disproportionate numbers in the military, and die in disproportionate numbers in America's wars.
