Assemblymember Joel Anderson, a conservative Republican whose children are taught at home, has introduced a concurrent resolution in the California Assembly. If it passes, it will go to the state Senate for their vote.

The resolution states that homeschooled children perform well at college and in life, that there is a rich history of homeschooling, that an estimated 200,000 children in California and 2,000,000 children in the U.S. are taught at home, that the U.S. Constitution recognizes the fundamental right of parents to have their children educated outside of state schools, that the appellate decision is misguided, and that the Supreme Court should reverse the decision.

An Ann Arbor elementary school principal used a letter home to parents tonight to defend a field trip for black students as part of his school's efforts to close the achievement gap between white and black students.

Dicken Elementary School Principal Mike Madison wrote the letter to parents following several days of controversy at the school after a field trip last week in which black students got to hear a rocket scientist.

VacTruth has been informed that Representative Andrea Boland of Sanford, Maine, has gained enough votes in committee to go to the state legislative floor with a bill allowing greater transparency in the disclosure of vaccine ingredients.

This is the third time that Representative Boland has recommended this bill, which has the potential to empower parents. The bill was scheduled to be presented on May 8 at 9:00 am until May 10 at 12:00 pm EDT. If passed, this will be the first time in the history of vaccination in the United States that parents will be given a full list of the ingredients of a vaccine before their child is vaccinated. Representative Boland has not only recommended full disclosure of vaccine ingredients but also an opt-out option allowing parents the opportunity to opt out of any vaccine for religious or philosophical reasons.

The annual North Dakota Indian Child Welfare and Wellness Conference is a chance for those who care about Native American children to come together and learn.

The conference is in its 11th year and more than 200 child protection workers, people in human services and juvenile justice departments, teachers and foster parents are in attendance, said program director Sandy Bercier. The event wraps up Friday. For the second year in a row, a panel of four Native American women who had been through the foster care system answered questions, shared personal experiences and gave advice.

Three years ago, in Glik v. Cunniffe, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit upheld a man's First Amendment right to record an arrest on Boston Common.

Last week, in Gericke v. Weare, the court upheld a woman's First Amendment right to record a traffic stop in Weare, New Hampshire. The combination of these two decisions is a powerful rebuke to cops who continue to harass people with bogus wiretapping charges when they dare to capture images or sound of police encounters on their cellphones.

Even in a far-left city such as San Francisco no one listens to progressive talk radio.

Green 960 will be replaced by a conservative talker KNEW, and KNEW's old spot on the dial 910 AM will be relaunched as KKSF AM, another conservative talker. Both stations are owned by Clear Channel, which was obviously tired of bleeding money on the previous failed enterprise. Predictably, progressives immediately developed the vapors.

The percentage of Members of Congress who send their children to private school remains disproportionate to that of the general populace.

Despite the President's strong support for school choice, many Members of Congress effectively deny poor school children the educational opportunities their own children enjoy.

Why are parents being punished for giving children independence?

"I'm totally dumbfounded by this whole situation," says Nicole Gainey. She's not the only one. The Port St. Lucie, Florida, mom was arrested on Saturday for letting her 7-year-old son, Dominic, walk alone - in the daytime, with a cellphone - a half-mile to a local park. "I honestly didn't think I was doing anything wrong," she says. "I was letting him go play." During his approximately 10-minute walk, the boy passed by a public pool, where a patron asked him where his mother was and other questions. As he told a local news station, "I got scared and ran off to the park, and that's when they called the cops." Police picked up the boy at the park, brought him home and arrested his mother for felony child neglect.

The only time school shootings will stop is when they are stopped. Crime is not fought by nonsense policies, but instance by instance by sovereign authority and superior force.

Anti-gun laws change the entire complexion of American liberty - and now safety - to the detriment of all Americans, especially now the non-gun owners. What will it take to comprehend this outside the liberty community?
