All News Pipeline was recently sent an email that contained a very strange warning that was recently given out by a private school near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ahead of the Pope's visit next week in which the date of September 18th was given.

After reading this letter, what do you think? The letter begins: "We are living in very difficult times in this world." Why do they specifically mention September 18th? Much more including a statement from this concerned parent and several more pictures and videos below.

Dr. Cornel West is consistent, if nothing else. But, that's a good thing, I think, especially if one "professes" to be a truth seeker and truth teller.

On a recent episode of "The Smiley & West Show" the Princeton professor berated President Obama for his apparently heartfelt, tearful response to the mass shooting and bloodbath at Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, Conn., while virtually downplaying and, indeed, ignoring the now routine killings of just as many, and more, children just blocks from Obama's own doorstep in Chicago. Professor West went further than ever before this time in his criticism of the president.

California is taking the lead to ban the death penalty. Supporters of the initiative include the American Civil Liberties Union, the Office of Social Ministry for the Catholic Diocese, NAACP and some retired judges, reported in Sign In San Diego.

The ban on the death penalty would be replaced by life in prison if the initiative passes in California, and there is still the possibility of wrongful convictions; however, if like Mr. House a person is subsequently cleared, they can be released. The question still remains about what we owe the wrongfully convicted and can someone like Mr. House ever be adequately compensated.

In Egypt, a team of nine scientists from prestigious Egyptian medical schools and universities have found that one in every 50 children in America have metabolic brain disease, and it could be a result of the mercury contained in vaccines.

Mercury exposure is measured by examining children's urinary porphyrins (excreted organic compounds that are biomarkers for mercury toxicity). This month in our Orwellian nightmares come true, a 16-year-old high schooler in Egg Harbor City, NJ, was arrested after doodling in his notebook what may have been either weapons or a magic hand with flames coming off it, or perhaps something else. Concerned by the boy's notebook, a Cedar Creek High School staff member called the local police, who searched the school and the teen's home with sniffer dogs.

Friends and family are demanding answers as to why the student, 18-year-old Gil Collar, was shot by police.

A freshman student at the University of Alabama was shot and killed by police early Saturday morning, and friends and family are demanding answers as to why he was killed. The student, 18-year-old Gil Collar was killed after he was naked and banging his head on windows at police headquarters. Collar, a high school wrestler, reportedly "assumed a 'fighting stance' and chased an officer before being shot." Collar was unarmed.
