'Creeping Shariah' hits city in American heartland

In a case spotlighted as an example of "creeping Shariah" in the United States, attorneys for a Tulsa, Okla., police officer have asked for a summary judgment because a police official inside the department testified the officer was punished for exercising his rights. The statement was included in a motion for summary judgment in the case brought by Capt. Paul Campbell Fields against the city of Tulsa, Chief Charles Jordan and Deputy Chief Alvin Webster.

Lt. Col. Lakin sacrificed career, freedom 'to defend the Constitution'

"Officer's Oath: Why My Vow to Defend the Constitution Demanded That I Sacrifice My Career" is Lt. Col. Terry Lakin's moving first-hand account of faith and patriotism that led to court-martial, imprisonment and the stripping of all military rank and privileges, including his Army pension. Lakin, an Army flight surgeon, was court-martialed because he refused to obey deployment orders, arguing Barack Obama had not documented his eligibility for the presidency under Article 2, Section 1, of the Constitution.

Legal team warns city officials who promise trouble for restaurants.

A legal team that specializes in religious and civil rights and the Constitution says city officials who are promising to punish Chick-fil-A restaurants for the religious beliefs followed by their chief are asking for trouble. "These government officials ought to be ashamed. For a public official to threaten denial of a right to do business because the president of a private company supports natural marriage is the height of stupidity and intolerance," said Mathew Staver, chief of Liberty Counsel.

Young child tests free of sarcoma, but officials demand 'standard' procedures

A hearing is scheduled before the Michigan Court of Appeals on Wednesday in a fight by the state Department of Human Services to forcibly administer more cancer-causing drugs to a child who was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, but following an earlier round of treatments has been declared either "in remission" or cured. Quaking after being attacked for opposing same-sex marriage

Jane Pitt, mother of actor Brad Pitt, has been scared into silence by the hate-filled, vulgar and even violent reaction to her public assertion that Barack Obama is "a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage." Pitt has even been the subject of death threats following her letter to the editor of Missouri's Springfield News-Leader in which she asserted failure to vote for Republican presumptive presidential candidate Mitt Romney constituted a vote for Obama.

Federal employees are blowing the whistle on the Internal Revenue Service, according to a report by Indianapolis television station WTHR-TV.

The federal agency that strikes fear into many U.S. taxpayers is getting a dose of its own medicine - as it is now the focus of a year-long audit for allowing illegal aliens to scam the system and bilk taxpayers out of billions of dollars every year.

123 Republicans and counting want to be 'unbound' at national convention.

Over 120 delegates to the Republican National Convention have joined a lawsuit against the GOP arguing they have been illegally coerced into choosing Mitt Romney for the party's presidential nominee and demanding they be "unbound" to vote for another candidate instead. The federal lawsuit, filed this week in U.S. District Court in California by mostly supporters of Ron Paul, demands the delegates be freed to "vote their conscience" for presidential nominee at the party's August national convention in Tampa, Fla., rather than being "bound" to vote for a certain candidate, as many state party bylaws require, based on the primary elections and other delegate selection procedures.

A Maine homosexual activist has used a court to deliver the latest "SWAT" attack on a pro-family advocate, obtaining a protective order even though the defendant, Brian Camenker of Mass Resistance, never had contacted him.

"SWAT" attacks on pro-family and pro-faith ministries have developed lately, and they involve someone using a telephone program and calling authorities purporting to be from the ministry or ministry leader's location. They "report" a murder, shooting or similar event. SWAT teams from local police jurisdictions then descend on the unsuspecting ministry leader and his family with guns drawn, creating high levels of danger for the innocent people.
