A recent ballot challenge hearing in New Jersey exposes a desperate strategy by Obama to distance himself from his forged certificate and induce the contrived value of his transient political popularity as the only "legitimate qualification" needed.

After a Maricopa County law enforcement agency conducted a six-month forensic examination which determined that the image of Obama's alleged 1961 Certificate of Live Birth posted to a government website in April, 2011 is a digital fabrication and that it did not originate from a genuine paper document, arguments from an Obama eligibility lawyer during a recent New Jersey ballot challenge hearing reveals the image was not only a fabrication, but that it was likely part of a contrived plot by counterfeiters to endow Obama with mere political support while simultaneously making the image intentionally appear absurd and, therefore, invalid as evidence toward proving Obama's ineligibility in a court of law. Taking an audacious and shocking angle against the constitutional eligibility mandate, Obama's lawyer, Alexandra Hill, admitted that the image of Obama's birth certificate was a forgery and made the absurd claim that, therefore, it cannot be used as evidence to confirm his lack of natural born citizenship status. Therefore, she argued, it is "irrelevant to his placement on the ballot".

More than 100,000 dashcam videos have disappeared from the Seattle Police Department, prompting city investigators to recommend the department do a better job of tracking and saving those videos.

For more than a year, KOMO News fought for access to the department's dashcam videos and video catalog to see if they show questionable behavior by officers. Denied again and again, KOMO eventually sued. As Seattle defends itself against that lawsuit, on Wednesday the city auditor released a report detailing the problems with how SPD handles dashcam videos and how it responds to the public's request to see them.

A new audit finds that the state Department of Parks and Recreation did not know how much it costs to operate each of California's 270 state parks, beaches and recreational areas.

State Auditor Elaine Howle today reported her findings as part of an investigation into $54 million found hidden last summer in two special funds. The money was misreported for more than a decade. Howle's audit shows it was a symptom of deep dysfunction in the department.

California computer upgrade costs are mounting as more problems are halting system overhauls.

The Associated Press reports California officials have canceled a half-finished Department of Motor Vehicles technology overhaul of the vehicle registration process. HP Enterprise Services has so far been paid nearly $50 million on the $208 million project. The LA Times says the DMV registration part of the project was stopped because there was little progress.

A federal judge is blocking part of a voter-approved measure beefing up the state's human trafficking laws. The judge made that ruling Friday.

The judge found a provision in the law requiring registered sex offenders to give authorities a list of their Internet providers and screen names likely violates the free speech rights of sex offenders. The lawsuit was filed on November 7th; just one day after the Californians Against Sexual Exploitation Act or Prop 35 was approved by 81 percent of California voters. It was filed by two anonymous registered sex offenders and an online discussion group called California Reform Sex Offender Laws.

A record number of schools voted in a mock election and re-elected President Barack Obama, but not one Tuolumne County school.

Officials from the MyVote California Student Mock Election say a record-breaking 674 elementary, middle school and high schools voted. According to statewide student mock election results, if California's youth could make the decisions, President Barack Obama would serve other four-years, Dianne Feinstein would continue in the U.S. Senate and nine of the 11 November ballot propositions would become law. However, one Tuolumne County school bucked that trend. Summerville Union High School Principal, David Johnstone, says out of 700 students 197 voted.

The Governor approves a ban on the public display of rifles and shotguns in most California cities and towns.

The bill does not bar guns in unincorporated areas, private businesses or property. Also, unloaded rifles would be allowed in vehicle gun racks. Democratic Assemblyman Anthony Portantino of La Canada-Flintridge says he wrote the bill in response to gun rights advocates who openly carried unloaded long guns while protesting another bill that became law last year. That law prohibits the public display of unloaded handguns.

Statewide voter registration shows more Californians aren't going to cast their ballots along party lines.

The secretary of state's office reports 3,672,229 have chosen no party preferences. They say that's a new all-time high. The previous record set in June shows a raw-number high of unaffiliated voters was 3,654,608. The secretary of state's office reports more than 17 million Californians are registered to vote ahead of the November presidential election. That represents 72.6 percent of eligible voters, up from 69.8 percent this time four years ago.
