It is time that the Washington Post was given a new name. Why? Because they have consistently misrepresented facts under the guise of "news" that savages the Romney campaign, then retracted the story when bloggers or websites uncover the truth.

It started yesterday with Booker responding to a tweet to Booker that said, "I believe that romney lies about everything...romney lies....he cares about nothing cept winning..romney is an evil person."

Newark mayor Cory Booker, who was flayed by the Left and referred to as "dead" by members of the Obama Administration after he defended Mitt Romney from attacks on his Bain capital record, is feuding with the Left again - this time over their lack of civility.

On MSNBC's "Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell," O'Donnell stated of Mormonism and Mitt Romney: "Mormonism was created by a guy in Upstate New York in 1830 when he got caught having sex with the maid and explained to his wife that God told him to do it."

Notwithstanding the fact that O'Donnell is an unhinged leftist, would MSNBC tolerate such open bigotry? Of course they would. Try Chris Matthews on Christianity, circa 2009: "The group in this country that most resembles the Taliban, ironically, is the religious right."

As the left and President Obama have so graciously pointed out, civility is essential to our national discourse. At a press conference in February 2009, Obama said: "I think that, over time, people respond to civility and--and rational argument."

He reaffirmed his commitment to civility by his pointed statements after Rush Limbaugh's comments regarding Sandra Fluke. Yet the left is not immune from incivility. In fact, the left is significantly more uncivil on a regular basis than the right. As our star defendant, we bring you the man who gets a tingle up his leg when Barack Obama speaks: MSNBC's Chris Matthews.

Dan Perkins, aka Tom Tomorrow, penned the cartoon in 1994 for Spin magazine.

At the time, the cartoon might have seemed a little hysterical. Remember, this was pre-warrantless-wiretapping, pre-Guantanamo, pre-Snowden, and pre-Obama-assassinating-American-citizens-with-drones, sans trial. Rather, the context for the cartoon was a new NSA gadget called the "Clipper chip" that would have made it easier for government officials to listen in on phone conversations, provided they had the legal authority to do so. (The technology was never widely adopted, and the NSA soon abandoned it.) Now? Not so hysterical. But hey, at least the third panel isn't strictly accurate, yet.

During the roll call of states, I was informed by my delegation chairman that I voted for Romney.

This is despite the fact that I never actually voted for Romney. I would have point of ordered this nonsense, but by this time, the draconian rules had been adopted over the will of the delegates, which allows them to count my vote for the person they think I should vote for (I was bound). Now I know how those people in communist countries feel like, where the leader wins by 99% of the vote.

by Wednesday on the Department of Labor’s proposed regulatory change on who would be newly classified as 'persuaders.’

September 20, 2011

As a preface, sometimes it helps to have been "on the other side" when trying to determine what the unions' game plan is within the Obama Administration.

What you are about to read comes from having been on the other side and, quite frankly, putting two and two together. And, if you are not alarmed when you finish reading this, you should be, because there may be something much more sinister afoot at the Department of Labor than most people realize. There has been one sentence, more than others, in the Department of Labor's 160-page proposed rule change that indicates the DOL's expansion of the definition of 'persuader' to mean just about any vendor who has anything to do directly or indirectly with an employer's relationship with employees since activities may implicitly influence the decisions of employees with regard in the exercise of their rights in the workplace. Until now, however, one part of the sentence has been overlooked which, unless addressed, may cause individuals great harm-literally, physical harm.

Gov. Chris Christie vetoed a bill Thursday that would have made New Jersey the third state to legalize gambling over the Internet, but he said he would sign it if it had a 10-year trial period and a higher tax rate on casinos.

It was the second time since 2011 that the Republican governor has vetoed an Internet bill passed by the New Jersey Legislature. But the path Christie laid out toward winning his approval heartened supporters of online gambling, including Atlantic City's 12 casinos, numerous online betting companies and state lawmakers who hope to make the seaside resort a nationwide hub for Internet gambling. Nevada and Delaware have passed laws legalizing Internet betting, which also is going on offshore, untaxed and unregulated.
