The Obama administration distributed $9 billion in economic "stimulus" funds to solar and wind projects in 2009-11 that created, as the end result, 910 "direct" jobs, meaning that it cost about $9.8 million to establish each of those long-term jobs.

At the same time, those green energy projects also created, in the end, about 4,600 "indirect" jobs - positions indirectly supported by the annual operation and maintenance jobs -- which means they cost about $1.9 million each ($9 billion divided by 4,600). Combined (910 + 4,600 = 5,510), the direct and indirect jobs cost, on average, about $1.63 million each to produce.

Volunteer fire departments all across the U.S. could find themselves out of money and unable to operate unless Congress or the Obama Administration exempts them from the Affordable Care Act.

'I thought the kinks were worked out of Obamacare at the first of the month, Central Florida volunteer firefighter Carl Fabrizi told Sunshine State News. 'Man, oh, man, this could potentially destroy some real good companies in Florida.' The U.S. Department of Labor takes the term 'volunteer' literally, but the IRS says volunteer firefighters are technically employees if they're on the job more than 30 hours per week, making them subject to Obamacare's employee-mandate rules.

Robert Wiedemer's new book, "Aftershock: Protect Yourself and Profit in the Next Global Financial Meltdown," quickly is becoming the survival guide for the 21st century.

With daily economic forecasts projecting doom and gloom and no recovery in sight, people need to learn how to survive economic disaster. During the past quarter alone, unemployment skyrocketed to 9 percent. Inflation continues to soar and the U.S. national debt crisis is still on the fence between raising the debt ceiling or massive budget cuts, with no resolution in sight.

An FBI raid over the weekend that rescued 105 children from sex trafficking is shining new light on an at-risk group: foster kids.

People all over the country and right here in the Ozarks cringed when they heard the news-- more than 100 children in sex trafficking rescued over the weekend by federal agents. For some this was even more sickening-- 60% of sexually exploited children come right out of social services and foster homes. Foster parents all over the Ozarks are well aware this happens... and working tirelessly to make sure it doesn't happen to their kids.

Sheherazad Ja'Afari, a U.N. based press attache in New York for the Syrian mission to the UN, exposes more about the American media and its capacity to be influenced by 'liberal guilt' in one email than conservative news sites could accomplish in a year.

Last night, hackers associated with the loose collective 'Anonymous' leaked the emails from the inboxes of 78 staffers from the mail server of the Syrian Ministry of Presidential Affairs, revealing some interesting observations about the American media.

Those who think President Obama's tax hikes will spare the middle class are only deluding themselves.

We have heard many times from President Barack Obama how he plans to raise taxes on "millionaires and billionaires," but not on the middle class. Apparently, if you don't happen to be a millionaire or billionaire, you don't have to worry. But the numbers say otherwise -- and say so big time. The actual tax increase plans being proposed by Obama do not start with people who have an income of a million dollars a year.

Is this the tragic end of 'queen of Southern cuisine'?

How did Paula Deen, a spunky 66-year-old TV chef, go from being the much-loved "queen of Southern cuisine" to exiled pariah in just days? Deen, who campaigned for President Obama in 2008 and cooked alongside Michelle Obama on national TV, was ranked as the fourth highest-earning celebrity chef in 2012. She's now under fire for admitting in a legal deposition to use of the "N"-word many years ago.

The first step in solving a problem is to first recognize that it exists.

An article in the Washington Post titled The Strategy That Paved a Winning Path provides insider information and insights that might help conservatives to address problems in the next presidential race. Mitt Romney is a good man who ran a vigorous campaign, but like Senators Bob Dole and John McCain before him, Romney seemed reluctant to express a clear conservative message, and to confront the liberal record of Barack Obama. In 2012 the campaign's "conservative message deficiency" (CMD) syndrome played out in several ways.

Subsidies to businesses in the federal budget in Fiscal Year 2012 cost taxpayers almost $100 billion, according to a new report from the Cato Institute.

"That includes direct and indirect subsidies to small businesses, large corporations, and industry organizations," the libertarian think-tank said in its latest policy analysis. The subsidies are handed out from programs in many federal departments, including the departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Energy, and Housing and Urban Development, the report noted. At the same time, the federal government will run its fourth consecutive deficit in excess of $1 trillion this year.
