Executive branch agencies make law via regulation with brazen disregard of the Constitution. Can Congress regain its proper role?

The United States Constitution gives "all legislative powers herein granted" to Congress. Neither the judicial nor the executive branch has the power to make laws, only interpret and execute them, respectively - at least in theory. In practice, things are quite different. Not only do executive branch agencies makes laws every day by issuing regulations that have the force of law, they do more lawmaking than Congress - a lot more. In a typical year, Congress will pass between 100 and 200 laws, while regulatory agencies will pass more than 3,500 regulations. In 2011, Congress passed 81 laws while agencies published 3,573 final rules - a difference of a factor of 47.

The Texas governor's campaign just rejected a call from Mitt Romney to "repudiate" the remarks of a pastor who described Romney's Mormon faith as a "cult."

We may have forgotten, however, that it was Rick Perry who was behind the raid that put these women there in the first place-a massive seizure of the Warren Jeffs-led fundamentalist Yearning for Zion Ranch, led by the state's Child Protective Services, that put 468 children in protective custody (though 29 of them would turn out to be over 18).

I just returned from New York, where I attended my 30th Columbia University reunion. I celebrated with my esteemed classmates. Everyone except Barack Obama.

As usual- he wasn't there. Not even a video greeting. Not a personalized letter to his classmates. Nothing. But worse, no one at our 30th reunion ever met him. The President of the United States is the ghost of Columbia University. I'm certainly no "Johnny come lately." For five years now (since 2007 when it became clear Barack Obama was running for President), I've been quoted in the media as saying that no one I've ever met at Columbia can remember ever meeting, or even seeing, our college classmate Barack Obama. Don't you think the media should be asking questions? Isn't this a very strange story?

Did you see Tuesday's second Presidential debate? It was like a heavyweight championship rematch. And Romney sealed the deal with another knockout performance.

But this time it wasn't Obama's fault. He came ready to rumble. This time it was that damn record that got in Obama's way. Remember the O.J. Simpson case? This time the glove fit. Let me explain. No one has EVER been able to go into the ring with Obama - the heavyweight talker - and "take it to him." Knock him out. Leave him reeling. Leave him shaking and breathless from body blows. Until Mitt Romney. Not just because Mitt is the smartest guy in the room - and he is. But because Obama has never in his career had to run on an actual record.

Hello, I'm Wayne Allyn Root for Personal Liberty. And have I got a story for you. I am President Obama's college classmate from Columbia University, Class of '83. And I've got a hunch on the scandal that ends Obama's hopes for a second term.

No, it's not his birth certificate. The scandal that takes down Obama's Presidency happened 30 years ago at Columbia University. This is the smoking gun. This also ties into Harry Reid's hunch about Mitt Romney's tax records. You see Senator Reid opened up Pandora's box. He made it OK for any of us to play a guessing game. If Harry can guess about Romney's taxes, without a shred of evidence... then a citizen and taxpayer and former college classmate of Obama has the standing to do a little educated guessing of my own. You see my background is one of a kind. I'm one of the most accurate Las Vegas oddsmakers and prognosticators ever...

Can you even imagine blaming a rape victim for being raped, or a terrorist victim for being murdered by terrorists? Of course not. In a sane world, it is the rapist and terrorist that is blamed for the crime, not the victim.

But amazingly, this is exactly what Obama and his socialist cabal are now doing in the midst of the debt ceiling crisis- blaming the victims. These out of control D.C. spending addicts are exactly like drug addicts who have abandoned their spouse, kids, and job to snort crack cocaine 24 hours a day. Even though they've stolen from us, we do all we can to help, doing our best to get them into rehab. But since they don't want to stop snorting their drugs, what we get in return is hate, anger and blame. They accuse us of being horrible people for not willingly handing over more money to feed their spending addiction. They absurdly assert it's all our fault and that we've forced them to rob us at gunpoint. And they scream that we are "extreme" while they keep snorting. Only seriously delusional enablers can close their eyes to the fact that Obama and his fellow addicts have spent us to the edge of economic Armageddon, and blindly refuse to see that it is the addicts on Capital Hill who are irresponsible, dangerous, self-destructive, and suicidal. They can't stop...they want more money...they deny they have a problem...and they think the answer to their addiction is more money, to buy more drugs.

Just being silent is not enough. The Supreme Court ruled 5 to 4 that a suspect's silence during informal police questioning can be used as evidence of guilt unless the right is invoked.

Prosecutors can use a suspect's silence during informal police questioning as evidence of guilt at a subsequent trial, the US Supreme Court said on Monday. In a case with important implications for individuals at the early stages of a police investigation, the high court said that a suspect must verbally invoke his or her Fifth Amendment right to remain silent to prevent police and prosecutors from using any resulting silence and incriminating body language as evidence of guilt during a jury trial. "The Fifth Amendment guarantees that no one may be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself; it does not establish an unqualified right to remain silent," Justice Samuel Alito wrote for the court.

Former U.S. representative, three-time presidential candidate, and physician Ron Paul has spoken out publicly about the catastrophic impact the deluge of unaccompanied children illegally entering our country has had on our nation's hospitals.

Dr. Paul, who is an obstetrician, spoke in response to the much-publicized crisis resulting from an estimated 60,000 children unaccompanied by parents or relatives who will pour into the United States this year - up from about 6,000 in 2011. Because most of these illegal immigrants are from the Central American nations of Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala, deporting them would be more complicated and expensive than sending illegal immigrants back to Mexico. Our government would have to charter planes to fly them back to their countries of origin. Many are, in fact, put on flights, but instead of being flown back home, go to states other than Texas - where they were apprehended - especially to Arizona and California.

Mitt Romney's reliance on neoconservative advisors - as well as CFR advisors - is a matter of fact, not a mere suggestion.

Both President Obama and Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney will address the Clinton Global Initiative (established in 2005 by President Bill Clinton) on September 25, an indication that both candidates are attempting to better articulate their positions on international affairs. An NPR report on the meeting noted: "The latest polls show Obama's numbers dropping on foreign policy. Romney is trying to exploit that weakness."

Jimmy Hoffa, in his address on September 4, 2011, Jimmy Hoffa instructed his union members to "take these son-of-a-****** out" and declared war on the TEA Party.

Such statements constitutes numerous acts of domestic terrorism under section 802 of the Patriot Act. Given that Mr. Hoffa holds a position of power and influence in the Teamsters Union, and that the Teamsters have previously been active in inflicting acts of violence, I am therefore concluding that Mr. Hoffa has instructed his union members to inflict further violent acts.
