Ignoring federal and state laws defining marriage as the union of a man and a woman, the U.S. Census Bureau released videos on Monday encouraging homosexual couples who consider themselves "married".

The Defense of Marriage Act forbids the federal government from recognizing same-sex relationships as 'marriages.' If this video were honest, it would state, 'If you are a same-sex couple, you should mark the box that says 'unmarried partner,' even if you are legally married according to the laws of the state in which you reside.'

Those who paid attention in history class will remember learning about Benedict Arnold, who purposefully sought and obtained command of West Point so he could surrender it to the British.

When his treasonous intention was discovered, he escaped to England and then led British forces into battle against American soldiers in Virginia and Connecticut. The 1st Congressional District of Michigan seems to have its own traitorous Benedict Arnold in the form of Rep. Bart Stupak...

Obama continues to thumb his nose at Congress, daring Republican members of the House of Representatives to begin impeachment proceedings against him.

His latest outrage comes in the form of a recess appointment of extremist Craig Becker, who used to represent ACORN and SEIU, to the National Labor Relations Board.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Republican attorneys general from 13 states are suing the federal government to stop the massive health care overhaul, claiming it's unconstitutional.

The lawsuit was filed at 12:02 p.m. Tuesday with the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Florida -- less than 10 minutes after Obama signed the bill into law at a White House ceremony. The suit names the U.S. departments of Health and Human Services, Treasury and Labor.

The news is changing fast and furiously on the health care front, with abortion continuing to be a major sticking point.

There are conflicting signals over whether Speaker Nancy Pelosi can pass the bill without Rep. Bart Stupak and his allies, but she did confirm that there was a possibility of Obama signing an executive order saying that there couldn't be public funding for abortion.

Obama has quietly moved behind the scenes to restore full funding to the radical group ACORN, which was his former employer and legal client.

In a move ignored by the media, OMB director Peter Orszag circulated a directive to federal agencies ordering them to begin funding ACORN again. ACORN is the hyperpartisan lead group in the Health Care for America Now (HCAN) coalition and has long supported a government takeover of the U.S. health care system.

A number of conservatives and Libertarians believe the census should be nothing more than a head count, not a collection of personal information. They plan to answer only the first question on the census form - how many people live in the house.

The resistance is not new. In 2000, only 67 percent of households responded to the census. Wes Benedict, executive director of the Libertarian Party, cited a Cato Institute report that census information was used during World War I to locate draft resistors and during World War II to round up Japanese-Americans and put them in internment camps.

Since the U.S. Census is starting this week, I would urge you all to just fill out the section that asks how many people live in your home and send it back with all of the other information on the form left blank.

While I understand why they do it, the fact that the federal government is appealing to a people's sense of entitlement in order to justify the continued theft of people's private property and pitch their (albeit) intrusive questions is outright immoral.
