CBS News reported that Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, John G. Roberts, Jr., would meet in private with impostor president elect, Barack Hussein Obama aka Barry Soetoro and so forth, on January 14, 2009.

A 'ceremonial' meeting between a president elect and justices of the Supreme Court is somewhat traditional. HOWEVER, in this instance, it's flat out wrong. Chief Justice Roberts has cases on the docket where Obama is the defendant or is the subject of the litigation.

It has begun. Despite assurances to the contrary, some democrats are champing at the bit to institute citizen disarmament, and like impulsive children, can't even wait for their guy to be inaugurated.

If passed, this bill would require that anyone wishing to purchase, own, or possess a "qualifying firearm," would have to be licensed by the state or the federal government in a licensing program managed by the Attorney General. To get a license you would have provide a passport-style photo, a thumbprint, and take a written exam which includes questions about firearms safety, safe storage, the risks of firearms ownership...

Barack Obama stands for change, but the political arena he's leaving can't seem to escape its corrupt past, says Harold Evans in his weekly Point of View column.

The recent juicy revelations about how the city and state are run have been a Godsend for governors and mayors across the country, pretty miserable right now, facing a depressing year of budget cuts. By maintaining its splendid tradition for sleazy political theatre, Chicago has enabled everyone else to feel pretty good about themselves.

In the last election, unions spent $450 million to elect candidates who favor their agenda. They have succeeded beyond the dreams of avarice. The federal government is now virtually the empire of Big Labor.

Especially gleeful are the teachers' unions, who helped elect a president explicitly and vociferously opposed to vouchers. Even as America's students have dropped to their lowest level on standardized tests compared to students internationally, and even as drop-out rates soar past the 50 percent mark in most of the largest urban school districts, President-elect Barack Obama has shown contempt for school choice-even as he exercised school choice in enrolling his own children in the most expensive and exclusive private prep school in Washington, D.C.

While the monopoly the state has on education and the subversion of the public school system can raise an almost murderous ire among informed parents, it remains one of the least addressed issues in the public arena.

This is, of course, in a large part due to such things as the recent economic meltdown and the war on terror having been made chief concerns of the 2008 general election. Since the election, militant gays in particular have been emboldened toward advancing their agenda...

An unscientific poll being conducted by American Online reveals more and more people are having second thoughts about Barack Obama's eligibility to occupy the Oval Office.

Fifty-three percent nationwide, and majorities in 45 states individually, say "yes" when asked if there is "any merit" to the controversy surrounding his citizenship. Even in Obama's own state, Illinois, the opinion is split 47-47 percent on the issue.

At the end of each year, news organizations typically present their retrospective replays of what they consider to have been the top news stories in the previous 12 months.

WND's editors, however, have long considered it far more newsworthy to publicize the most important unreported or underreported news events of the year - to highlight perhaps for one last time major news stories that were undeservedly "spiked" by the establishment press.

No, it wasn't the banking scandal.. And it wasn't a mysteriously poor showing of John McCain... It was a one-two punch in the stomach of the electorate that reveals what our servants really think of us.

2008 saw that one lurking American suspicion is in fact true: that we are on our own. No matter what officials promise, no matter what individuals may believe about the goodness of officials, we have always been on our own and we always will be. For so many, this was stunning; for the liberty purists, being on our own is liberty, and must be invoked.

U.S. government officials approved President-elect Barack Obama's use of a "dot-gov" web domain name.

Christopher P. Lu, executive director of the Obama-Biden Transition Project, wrote in a letter dated Election Day that the private campaign organization had made a request to be awarded one of the restricted "dot-gov" addresses, specifically "change.gov."

Although Mr. Obama has proposed changes in the nation's farm and rural policies and emphasizes the connection between diet and health, there is nothing to indicate he has a special interest in a radical makeover of the way food is grown and sold.

As for Michelle Obama, she has said in interviews that she tries to buy organic food and watches the amount of high-fructose corn syrup in her family's diet. And, as she confided on "The View" on ABC, "We're bacon people." The Obamas are a different kind of first family.
