DCS is an unconstitutional bureaucracy and I would end it.

No one would ever again lose a child without due process, probable cause, a high standard of evidence, and conviction of a crime.

The Senate Finance Committee is scheduled to pick up where it left off in late July when it meets September 10 to mark up a major child welfare bill, the Improvements in Adoption Incentives and Relative Guardianship Support Act (S. 3038).

The Senate Finance Committee bill represents a bipartisan agreement between Finance Committee Chair Max Baucus (D-MT) and Ranking Member Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA). That Chairman's mark or substitute bill evolved out of discussions on S. 3038, which Grassley introduced in May.

Democratic candidates may state they are against war, but when put to the test they are just as likely to be the cause of innocent children dying as Republicans.

A Democratic congressman is responsible for the 1974 Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) which laid the groundwork for the destruction of thousands of American families - eventually terminating parental rights, traumatizing many thousands of children and their parents...

America's most urgent home-front problem went entirely unaddressed at both the Democratic and Republican conventions. This is very bad news for the plebiscite for billions of reasons.

Even in the early days of the welfare state, Daniel Patrick Moynihan mentioned the danger that it would destroy marriage. Today, perhaps half of marriages are aborted before they happen, and another half are terminated midstream, because federal expenditures (and pass-through funding requirements imposed on states) entitle everything but marriage -- and at the direct expense of marriage.

Republicans will decide who will represent District 74 in Oklahoma City during the July 29 primary. Robert Jerome and Bob Batterbee are challenging incumbent David Derby.

Education is a high priority that is why I support the 65% solution. The state of Oklahoma needs to prioritize its spending and make sure it funds its basic needs first. I believe the top three priorities are Education, Public Safety, and Roads and Bridges. The people should expect their money (not the government's money) to go to these basic and limited functions of government.

In an election campaign in which not only young liberals, but also some people who are neither young nor liberals, seem absolutely mesmerized by the skilled rhetoric of Barack Obama, facts have receded even further into the background than usual.

As the hypnotic mantra of "change" is repeated endlessly, few people even raise the question of whether what few specifics we hear represent any real change, much less a change for the better. Raising taxes, increasing government spending and demonizing business? That is straight out of the New Deal of the 1930s.

Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson has apologized to Barack Obama for wanting to "cut his nuts off" in front of millions of Fox News' viewers on Sunday.

But as with other controversial events the televised comments have taken on a life of their own on the internet.

Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fake Hawaii birth certificate images.

Barack Obama is not a legal U.S. natural-born citizen according to the law on the books at the time of his birth, which falls between December 24, 1952, to November 13, 1986. Federal Law requires that the office of President requires a natural-born citizen if the child was not born to two U.S. Citizen parents.
