At the June 29, 2012 anti-Obamacare rally hosted by American For Prosperity, blogger Ari Armstrong captured this short video of Dr. Jill Vecchio explaining how Obamacare will force her to practice substandard medicine.

Considering how incredibly rare it is to find balanced global warming reporting in the mainstream media, Noel Sheppard's 4/24 NewsBusters headline was worthy of a double-take: "Retired Anchorman Apologizes for Presenting Both Sides of Global Warming Debat

Having written an American Thinker article last year where I quantified the outright bias at the PBS NewsHour to be a ratio of 3 "skeptic" to 200+ "pro-Al Gore/IPCC" going back to 1996, I was puzzled. Who could it be?

The answer, of course, is an emphatic yes, since by its very nature, ObamaCare is too much for ObamaCare.

Individual states' freedom to opt out of designing their own state-specific health insurance exchanges is turning out to be yet another flaw in the oh-so-masterful plan. Last week, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced that the government is extending the deadline by which states must submit their blueprints for their exchanges, meant to be tools with which consumers can shop around for insurance options, but all states must still indicate whether they're planning on doing it themselves, forging a partnership with the feds, or letting the federal government do it for them, by this Friday.

"You don't want to buy it, fine. We'll fine you into oblivion."

That, says a lawyer representing a number of Catholic institutions, is what the Obama administration will say to his clients if the federal courts do not strike down a regulation the administration has issued that requires all health insurance plans to cover sterilizations and artificial contraceptives, including those that induce abortions.

Let's take a moment off from baseless speculation over tomorrow's decision on ObamaCare for less-baseless speculation as to what comes afterward.

What exactly are Barack Obama's contingency plans if the Supreme Court overturns ObamaCare, in whole or in part? On Monday, Marc Ambinder tweeted out this interesting update before it became apparent that the court would wait for Thursday to release its decision. According to Ambinder, the White House had a raft of executive orders at the ready...

Is this really a conundrum?

Barack Obama has threatened to veto a defense budget authorization bill over the inclusion of an amendment that gives the military the prerogative in handling terror-related detainees, even if the suspects are arrested/captured in the US. Obama wants the conference committee to strip out the amendment before it reaches his desk...

The Texas congressman is surging in Iowa and closing in on Romney in New Hampshire.

Ron Paul, the 76-year-old Texas congressman, appears to have a real chance of winning the Iowa caucus on January 3. In the two most recent surveys taken this week, he has moved into second place, leading Mitt Romney by 5 points in each poll and pulling within one point of Newt Gingrich in one of the surveys. Gingrich may have peaked too soon, providing his competitors enough time to damage him with their ad campaigns. Even worse, Gingrich's attack on Mitt Romney's work at Bain Capital this week, which could have been delivered by the group chanters of Occupy Wall Street, was a good example of his ability to self-destruct.

Ron Paul may succeed at convincing Republican voters to force a head-to-head comparison alongside Mitt Romney.

After Ron Paul spoke in Sparks, Nevada, earlier this month, observers took note of Mitt Romney supporters crumpling up their Romney signs and vowing to vote for Paul. It was the first time many Republican activists had ever heard Paul speak outside of the several minutes of sound bites allotted to him during televised debates.

Nationwide, Tea Party groups are upset by the double standard applied to their rallies and Occupy Wall Street protests.

While Tea Party groups typically are required to pay a fee to use a park for a one-day rally, OWS protestors have set up camp in the same parks for days at no cost. One Tea Partier, Colleen Owens of Richmond, VA, is taking action, demanding that the Richmond City Council refund the $10,000 that the Richmond Tea Party was charged for their Kanawha Plaza rallies, the same venue Occupy Richmond protestors have been using at no charge.

Who's ready for another endless fight across the aisle in Washington this fall?

In addition to the debt ceiling debate, we recently saw the FAA hit a temporary shutdown after Congress couldn't agree on extending their marching orders. (They'll be sending out apologies notes to all of you who got airline tickets for sixty dollars less any day now, I'm sure.) But the fun isn't over yet, sports fans!
