When people download a film from Netflix to a flatscreen, or turn on web radio, they could be alerting unwanted watchers to exactly what they are doing and where they are.

Spies will no longer have to plant bugs in your home - the rise of 'connected' gadgets controlled by apps will mean that people 'bug' their own homes, says CIA director David Petraeus. The CIA claims it will be able to 'read' these devices via the internet - and perhaps even via radio waves from outside the home.

In a ruling last fall, Wisconsin judge Patrick Fiedler ruled against a family that produced raw milk. In his ruling, he held that the plaintiffs "operate a dairy farm," and thus had to comply with State law in that regard.

Much more disturbingly, however, Fiedler ruled that the plaintiffs had "no fundamental right" to consume foods of their choice, or even to "own a cow" and "consume milk from their own cow." In a clarification to his ruling, the judge wrote that the plaintiffs (and thus people in general)...

Since posting a passing comment on my Facebook fan page about Ron Paul, I have been inundated with questions and concerns about my support of the Texas Congressman in the current Republican Primary race. In one of my many political posts (frequently, I post videos, news articles, etc., in an effort to show the importance and influence of worldview), I simply stated that I voted for Dr. Paul in the last election, and planned to vote for him again. The result was hundreds of comments; more than any other post I've ever submitted. Most of the comments were positive. However, several were extremely negative. Some vowed never to follow, or support my ministry any further, while others simply communicated their dismay. Still others, like today's questioner, just asked honest questions. As a result, I've decided to explain my position, and this seemed like the best place to do it.

This clip needs no commentary from me. I've posted this video so many times, and still, the sheep keep their heads buried in the sand and condemn Dr. Paul claiming he's ignorant on Foreign Policy. This video was a warning recorded prior to our invasion of Iraq. Now that we've pulled out, what did we gain from that illegal war? Dr. Paul hit the nail on the head *ahead* of the fact. It is beyond me as to how anyone can claim Dr. Paul's understanding of Foreign Policy is anything other than absolutely correct.

In July of this year, a research group, The Frontier Lab, released a revealing study called "Switching Behavior: Modeling Disaffiliation by Republicans from the Label 'Republican.'"

The Frontier Lab study includes both conservative and moderate Republicans, and identified four key events that prompted individuals to "disaffiliate" from the party. One was the rejection of the "lesser of two evils" argument-the argument that voters had to support a bad Republican because the Democratic candidate would invariably be worse. Both conservatives and moderates are tired of the "two evils" argument. . . . A second reason is closely related. Parting conservatives have expressed "loss of hope" in the party, but not just a general loss of hope-loss of hope specifically that by enduring the lesser of two evils tactic over time, the classic promise of that argument would materialize. That is, over time, and after many abuses, these people have lost hope that the party would change or effect change as promised. As director Anne Sorock puts it in the study, these people "often experienced an emotional exhaustion wherein they no longer felt hope that the party would deliver."

So leftist that a Russian-American journalist and former Moscow-based correspondent for Foreign Policy and The New Yorker, after enduring a shouting, "mansplaining" Lawrence O'Donnell on MSNBC, wrote an explanatory follow-up complaining how the host was acting like a Russian dictator! The guest, New Republic senior editor Julia Ioffe, quipped, "My main beef with O'Donnell is . . . that he did exactly the same s*** Russians did to me when I was in Russia."

Can the government just take you property for its purposes? Of course not. The Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution requires just compensation at least.

But governments get creative with how they manipulate property owners in regard to their property usage in various banner1ways. A marquee Supreme Court case, building on two previous cases, has just made it even harder for State and local governments to bully property owners. Forbes.com reports, "Nearly unnoticed among the marquee decisions by this year's Supreme Court session is Koontz v. St. John's Water Management District. The decision granted the plaintiff the right to sue a governmental agency that required a payment - or 'exaction' - for public facilities miles away from his property as a contingency for approval of a building permit."

Police beat up suspect's neighbor to prevent domestic violence

Police in Henderson, Nevada, wanted to spy upon a domestic violence suspect from a neighboring home, but when the neighbor refused to lend his home for such purposes, the police essentially engaged in a little domestic violence of their own.

Now the lawsuits are flying-including rare charges of violation of the third amendment. Breitbart.com reports, "Anthony Mitchell lives on the same street as his parents Michael and Linda Mitchell in a suburb of Las Vegas. On July 10, 2011, police contacted Anthony to say they were investigating his neighbors for domestic violence. The police said they required stationing officers in Anthony's house to gain a tactical advantage. Anthony refused, saying he did not want to get involved..."

The U.S. Department of Justice just released a study of gun violence statistics and the results blow holes through the anti-gun crowd's most cherished story lines.

Based on the findings, two basic truths stand out: 1) more guns correspond with less crime, and 2) the much maligned "gun show loophole" is a boogeyman. First, the study reveals just the opposite of the standard gun control line: an increase in the prevalence of firearms has corresponded with a decrease in gun violence. Or as John Lott has famously put it: more guns, less crime. The Justice Dept. data reveal this to be true for both gun-related homicide and non-fatal gun violence. Over the period 1993-2011, firearm-related homicides dropped a whopping 39 percent, while nonfatal firearm crimes dived by 69 percent. That's a dramatic decline.

We expect leftists, liberals, and other miscreants to pounce opportunistically, to lie, cheat, and twist (all the while drooling) over a phrase like "legitimate rape" when uttered by a strong conservative Christian politician.

But should we expect the same from alleged conservatives? Yet this is exactly what we've seen from several prominent conservatives in the wake of a media gaffe from U.S. Senate candidate Todd Akin (R-MO) in regard to alleged "legitimate rape" and abortion. What could have been quickly and easily handled with a consolidated response correctly interpreting Akin's unfortunate phrase was instead a rare cause of bipartisan hazing.
