Pres. Obama is asking public school teachers to "take it easy" on black students who misbehave.

On July 26, 2012, Obama signed an Executive Order to create the African American Education Initiative. The order births a new federal bureaucracy and effectively offers black students a green light to misbehave at school. Obama asked public school teachers to reduce the number of disciplinary actions taken against black students. Specifically, it calls on schools to "not rely on methods that result in disparate use of disciplinary tools." The order, however, does not include any suggestions to improve black students' inappropriate behavior. Members of the new bureaucracy will work to pressure public school systems into complying with the president's order. To do that, public schools must utilize a quota system.

This chart is an excerpt from my new book "Romney Bashing for Morons", which is available now at Amazon.com. It is my ObamaCare vs. RomneyCare comparison chart, annotated with footnotes referencing the sources of all the facts contained therein.

Are there other available credible sources, and other interpretations of the very same data? Of course there are. This is not an exhaustive list of all known sources of information on the two health care reform laws. It's simply a list of the sources I used to put this simple comparison chart together. Use it as a starting point, and do your own homework. If you're depending on the Obama administration and the snarky Democrats for your information about the two health care reform plans (and most people are, whether they know it or not) then you deserve whatever you end up with.

Great news! Our friends at the Competitive Enterprise Institute today announced a legal challenge to the IRS Obamacare power grab.

We've written about the power grab here, here, and here - but the short version is the law gives states the power to opt out of the huge new subsidies and employer penalty taxes. But when most states exercised the right, the IRS attempted to illegally rewrite the law to force those states back into the subsidy-and-penalty scheme. American Commitment activists flooded the Senate last year with letters demanding a vote to overturn the outrageous IRS rule. And we led a coalition of 46 free-market groups. But the Senate failed to act - even though Republicans had enough signatures to force a vote. Fortunately, with today's announcement, small businesses are standing up for themselves and taking on the IRS!

A new nationwide study released by the nonpartisan Bay Area Center for Voting Research (BACVR) ranks the political leanings of every American city and finds that Detroit, Michigan is the most liberal and Provo, Utah the most conservative.

In all, the BACVR researchers examined voting patterns of 237 American cities with populations of over 100,000 and ranked them each on liberal and conservative scales. The list of Americas most liberal cities is dominated by cities with large African American populations that are concentrated in the Northeast, Midwest and California. Conversely, the study found that the staunchest conservative cities are clustered in the South and interior West and have extremely low numbers of African American residents.

A prominent law professor and avowed supporter of the Obama White House will tell the House on Wednesday that the president has created one of the biggest constitutional crises in the country's history and will endorse House Republicans' effort to sue to rein him in. Jonathan Turley, a professor at George Washington University, will say President Obama is trampling the founders' vision for the country in his push to circumvent Congress, and he will demand Republicans and Democrats alike forget their party labels to unify against this White House's power grab.

The national debt problem has become so apparent that it is recognized even in San Francisco now. Would raising taxes help?

How do we solve this problem? Can't cut Medicare; we don't want Grandpa to die. Can't cut Social Security; we don't want Grandpa eating dog food. Can't cut interest payments; Grandpa needs to cash in his government bonds every so often to afford his utility bills. And within those critical ten years, I become Grandpa.

I was skeptical when I saw a comment on Michelle Malkin’s website which suggested that the Washington Post changed their headline on a story that’s critical of Obama’s stupid new Attack Watch site.

Turns out the commenter is exactly right. See the screenshots below. Here’s a shot of the original headline, picked up by the automated news aggregation site Memeorandum. It clearly says Obama’s new site is a laughing stock of the internet.

America's most urgent home-front problem went entirely unaddressed at both the Democratic and Republican conventions. This is very bad news for the plebiscite for billions of reasons.

Even in the early days of the welfare state, Daniel Patrick Moynihan mentioned the danger that it would destroy marriage. Today, perhaps half of marriages are aborted before they happen, and another half are terminated midstream, because federal expenditures (and pass-through funding requirements imposed on states) entitle everything but marriage -- and at the direct expense of marriage.

As Election Day 2004 approaches, there has been the inevitable talk in the media about possible fraud: illegals voting, felons voting, dead people voting, minorities not voting, etc.

One side denying some the right to vote and the other side letting some vote as often as they like. While that type of fraud is despicable and must be prevented, the election fraud that I'm talking about would be the election of John Kerry. If it should happen, it would constitute the greatest fraud ever foisted on the American public.
