NBC's David Gregory hosted the President on Sunday's Meet the Press--and compared to his last notable interview, when he verbally attacked NRA President Wayne LaPierre at every turn, Gregory was virtually asleep this weekend.

Unfortunately, Gregory's mostly timid questions and Obama's rambling answers gave us nothing new. The only real pointed question that Gregory asked Obama was over Susan Rice. But even there he asked the question in the meekest manner possible. Gregory asked: "Do you feel like you let your friend Susan Rice hang out there to dry a little bit?" The equivocation of "a little bit" was far more consideration than the badgering Gregory offered LaPierre.

The Journal News of suburban Westchester, New York caused outrage by publishing an interactive map showing the names and addresses of New York's legal firearm owners.

In response, a blogger decided to create a map showing the names and addresses of employees of the newspaper. The blog, "Talk of the Sound," a New Rochelle, New York-centric website, decided that turnabout was fair play by posting its headlined, "Map: Where are the Journal News employees in your neighborhood?." The map replicates the gun owners map published by the Journal News, replacing gun owners with newspaper employees.

Washington D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier has confirmed that the department is looking into allegations that NBC's David Gregory violated D.C.'s gun banning laws during a recent taping of Meet the Press.

In a discussion about gun control, host David Gregory brandished a 30-round magazine purportedly for an AR-15 or similar "assault rifle." The discussion took place on December 23, during the broadcast of NBC's Sunday morning political talk show. Washington D.C.'s gun laws, however, state that even possessing such a device is a violation. Meet the Press is filmed at NBC's D.C. studios. The law in question is titled: DC High Capacity Ammunition Magazines - D.C. Official Code 7-2506.01...

On ABC's, This Week With George Stephanopoulos for December 23, ABC political analyst Matthew Dowd uttered one of those phrases that always sounds nice, but is ultimately meaningless.

Unfortunately, it is a phrase one hears all the time uttered by those low information-types in our political discussions. During the panel discussion on the fiscal cliff, Dowd unleashed the rote claim that all good things for the nation are "right down the middle," essentially claiming that compromise for the sake of compromise is the only real solution to anything in Washington.

After Wednesday night's CNN special, Guns in America, it has become clear that Piers Morgan is one thrown chair away from being the newest Jerry Springer.

After he indulged his latest shoutfest and bout of name calling, Morgan has shown that he is no more serious as a commentator and interviewer than the syndicated tabloid talker. Jerry Springer made himself famous for screamfests, fist fights, and name calling on his daytime TV show but who cannot see that Piers Morgan is only a few steps removed from Springerism? Take Guns in America as only the latest example.

WVKO, a left-wing radio station in Columbus, Ohio, is going under. Even after being the dutiful soldiers for team Obama the station can't pay its bills. And as the station goes down the tubes they are pointing fingers. At Obama!

Talkers Magazine recently posted the announcement that WVKO, Ohio's Progressive Radio, will cease operations for 2013. The station will replace the progressive shows with a new Gospel format. "In a post at the station's website, Richards spreads the blame around to everyone from the Obama campaign to local advertisers," Talkers says. Boy did WVKO's Richards "spread the blame," too. On the station's website, it is a veritable whinefest.

Here in the waning days of this campaign for the White House, Politico reports that many journalists, editors, and news personnel have donated thousands to Barack Obama's reelection campaign.

Politico gives us a long list of Obama supporters in the news biz. The first noted is The Wall Street Journal's Paul Levy ($225), who calls Romney a "dangerous religious freak whose election will cripple America." Also supporting team Obama are the New York Daily News' deputy managing editor for news Dersh Kuntzman ($250), ESPN Sportscaster Stuart Scott ($25,000), Reuters editor Joseph Graf ($250), Newark Ledger-Star photojournalist John Munson ($182.50), MediaCity editor Veronica Combs, Slate's Katherine Goldstein ($252), Cyndi Stivers, editor of the Columbia Journalism Review and Columbia Journalism School faculty member ($250), and Bloomberg reporter Edmund Lee ($2,000). This is, of course, just a tiny list. There are thousands of folks in the news and information business that consistently donate to Democrats and liberal causes.

Remember how liberals are the only ones tolerant of others?

Well, keep that in mind as you listen to talk show host Michelangelo Signorile tell a gay caller who voted for Mitt Romney that he should take "arsenic" and commit suicide because he dared to vote for a Republican. Via our friends at Gay Patriot, we get yet another example of the "more tolerant" set, who cannot stand to see someone think differently than they do, "tolerantly" wishing death on anyone that disagrees with them.

On the Sunday, October 28 edition of ABC's This Week, Andrew Sullivan of The Daily Beast claimed that Obama might lose this election because the whole south is filled with racists that are somehow just like the Old Confederacy.

As George Will noted, according to Sullivan all the whites that were not racist in 2008 suddenly are racist in 2012. In a discussion of the "racial gap" in this year's election, Sullivan declared all southerners to be racists and are sliding back into the civil war. "If Virginia and Florida go back to the Republicans, it's the Confederacy, entirely. You put the map of the civil war over this electoral map you got the civil war," he said. George Will correctly dismissed Sullivan's ranting as poppycock.

MSNBC's Ed Schultz proved himself gullible enough to fall for the false story that Mitt Romney's son Tagg owns voting machines in Ohio and that he is somehow making sure that the vote in that important swing state goes the right way.
