Saying you don't mind surveillance because you have nothing to hide is like saying you don't believe in freedom of speech because you have nothing to say. This was something Snowden said.

The fact is, privacy is fundamental to the fabric of our society, and we should all be concerned when people threaten to take it away. Strong encryption is one of the most powerful tools we have for protecting our privacy. End-to-end encryption is particularly important.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp is suing Atlanta's mayor after she defied his order that revoked mask mandates.

Kemp filed a lawsuit against the state's capital city Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms on Thursday for defying his earlier order eliminating mask mandates and pulling the city back to "phase one" of coronavirus restrictions. "This lawsuit is on behalf of the Atlanta business owners and their hardworking employees who are struggling to survive during these difficult times. These men and women are doing their very best to put food on the table for their families while local elected officials shutter businesses and undermine economic growth," Kemp said in a social media post on the lawsuit.

The justices refused to halt Florida's poll tax on ex-felons-and didn't bother explaining why.

The Supreme Court all but guaranteed that nearly 1 million Floridians will be unable to vote in the 2020 election because of unpaid court debts in a shattering order handed down on Thursday. Its decision will throw Florida's voter registration into chaos, placing a huge number of would-be voters in legal limbo and even opening them up to prosecution for casting a ballot. The justices have effectively permitted Florida Republicans to impose a poll tax in November.

Columbia, CA - A rescued hiker from Atwater, shown in the image box video, expressed how thankful she was to be rescued after falling several hundred feet down a steep ravine in the Columbia area.

A call came into dispatch around 8:30 p.m. Monday night after a man from Modesto who was hiking with the woman near a river along Italian Bar Road took off to get help. He was able to find other hikers with a phone who called 911. It took Tuolumne County Sheriff's Search & Rescue team (TCSAR) about three hours to reach the women and hoist her to safety. Sheriff's spokesperson Nicco Sandelin explains how the ordeal began, "They were hiking, and the terrain was loose. She took a step and due to the loose terrain, her foot slipped out from underneath her causing her to slide down the hillside. It was rough terrain covered with brush and rocks."

Less than 12 hours after vaccination with Moderna's experimental COVIDE-19 vaccine, Ian Hayden was the sickest he'd ever been in his life. Moderna let him believe the illness was just a sad coincidence unrelated to the jab...

You know Ian Haydon from many appearances on CNN and other networks celebrating his heroic act of volunteering to test Moderna's experimental COVID vaccine. The sun has now set on Haydon's television career. He is no longer useful to the Pharmedia narratives that all vaccines are always safe for all people, that Moderna's business partners, Tony Fauci and Bill Gates, were justified in skipping animal studies and that Moderna's vaccine will soon rescue us from the Pandemic. Ian Haydon is now an embarrassment to Fauci, Gates, and their CNN cheerleaders. He will therefore vanish into the censorship twilight.

Who's to Blame? Facebook Can't Shake Lawsuits Over Alleged Child-Sex Trafficking on Its Platform -- These lawsuits are pushing the legal limits of how social media companies can be held accountable for sex trafficking that occurs on their platforms.

Facebook has again lost its court battle to dismiss lawsuits by three young women who claimed they were sex trafficked on the Facebook or Instagram platforms. These lawsuits are pushing the legal limits of how social media companies can be held accountable for sex trafficking that occurs on their platforms. In a 2-1 ruling Tuesday, the 14th Court of Appeals affirmed two trial judges' orders that denied Facebook's motions to dismiss the lawsuits under the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure 91a, which is the Lone Star State's version of the federal 12(b)(6) motion to dismiss for failure to state a claim.

I was very excited to see that our local Taco Bell was open inside. Until I ate there. We went inside for the first time in a couple months. A huge hand sanitizer stood near the registers, all the condiment dishes were empty as were the straws and lids...

All the tall tables (where we prefer to sit), had signs on them like the image above and the legs were zip tied together so you couldn't sit down. I was going to sit there anyway because none of the tables were clean. The tables were either occupied (only two) or they were dirty. My husband went to the counter to ask the cashier to clean the tables. She came out to the lobby and cleaned ONE table.

With travelers staying close to home and airports turned into virtual ghost towns, rental car companies have taken a huge hit during the coronavirus pandemic. On Friday Hertz, which also operates the Dollar and Thrifty agencies, declared bankruptcy.

Industry experts expect the company to sell off a large portion of its fleet. Even when we were not in an economic crisis, shoppers could often find a good deal on a used car at one of the major car rental agencies, including Hertz, Avis or Enterprise. Rental car companies routinely sell off cars, usually after a year or two of service. For instance, Enterprise, which also operates the Alamo and National brands, sells a million used cars a year globally, according to a spokeswoman.
