If you've been concerned about the fate of veterans' health care in the U.S., look to its cousin across the pond. A subsidiary of the government-run British National Health Service has decided to bar obese patients and smokers...

"Major surgery poses much higher risks for severely overweight patients who smoke," said an NHS England spokesman. "So local [providers] are entirely right to ensure these patients first get support to lose weight and try and stop smoking before their hip or knee operation." The change "saves the NHS and taxpayers millions of pounds."

Sierra Riddle hands a vape pen to her son, 7-year-old Landon Riddle, on July 10. Landon was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia as a toddler and became the youngest patient in the United States to receive a medical marijuana card.

When Sierra Riddle stormed into the conference room at Denver's child protective services office, the director of the agency was seated there, along with her son's team of doctors, top administrators from the Children's Hospital Colorado oncology department and lawyers. She recalls looking one of the physicians in the eye, defiant. "I'm done with this shit," she remembers saying. "I'm done with you guys bullying us."

Aluminum is not an essential plant element and can be harmful to crop growth. One of my young friends called this week and we talked about what we would do to raise our crop yields. He had tried gypsum but did not notice results.

Fly Ash Gypsum from scrubbing coal powered electric plant stacks is helping keep fly ash our of our landfills and onto our soils. Are we scrubbing the aluminum off the clay particles for better soil air and water movement and less damage from aluminum? This is probably ten years old but I get these questions almost every day.

According to a press release on Alexis Bortell's Facebook page, the 11-year-old is suing the federal government. Alexis Bortell is a self-proclaimed medical marijuana advocate who was born and raised in North Texas before moving to Colorado.

"Most Texas Legislators don't seem to care enough to fight for patients, so I will do it," Bortell said. "I am only asking to be treated like everyone else and no one is listening to patients like me. Maybe now they will." Her hope with this suit is to have medical cannabis reclassified.

What first started as a headache, fever, and body aches, quickly escalated into an excruciating migraine, debilitating muscle stiffness, and an overwhelming sense of nausea.

I was hit with what I thought was a nasty case of the seasonal flu, and it sucked. But I powered through, drinking my liquids and following the natural recommended flu-protocol, knowing that it would all be over within a few days. My prognosis proved wrong, however. Over a week into my sickness I still couldn't eat, and I was dropping weight like a Jenny Craig story gone right. The only word I could use to describe the feeling in my stomach was "gross." My usually clear skin had broken out, and my urine and stool were also starting to look "off" to say the least, which caused some serious concern.

The truth about the healing powers of cannabis is starting to see the light of the day in many parts of the world.

Cannabis or better known as marijuana has been used as a remedy for many centuries. Today, it is known that the reason lies in the compounds found in cannabis called cannabinoids. Some of them are psychoactive and act on the brain by changing mood or consciousness. They can be taken by mouth, inhaled, or sprayed under the tongue.

Three boys involved in a June assault on a 5-year-old girl at the Fawnbrook Apartments in Twin Falls pleaded guilty Tuesday to felonies.

The incident touched off months of turmoil in Twin Falls after the story was spun into a fake news account that exaggerated or flat-out falsified many of the details, including that a knife was present, the attack was perpetrated by a Syrian gang of adult men, that a rape had occurred and that the attack was celebrated by the perpetrators' families as city officials orchestrated a cover-up. In fact, police and prosecutors said, there was no rape, no knife was present, and the incident involved young boys. Officials characterized the incident as a sexual assault and say each say each agency involved followed proper protocol.

Big Pharma Drug Lords, before Election 2016, were absolutely certain that their choice for the Presidency of the United States, Hillary Clinton, was in the bag - after all, their contributions to her candidacy.

In California they had bought the entire liberal Democrat legislature, and they passed a Mandatory Vaccine bill. They thought that would happen nationwide. It didn't - The Anti-Vaxxer Movement smashed them nationwide. SMASHED THEM. Their ownership of the liberal news media is uncontested. It didn't work for them during the election and it isn't working for them now... Insert laughter here...

There was more of the same old, same old California news recently. Some 62% of state roads have been rated poor or mediocre. There were more predictions of huge cost overruns and yearly losses on high-speed rail -- before the first mile of track.

After years of drought, California has not built a single new reservoir. Instead, scarce fresh aqueduct water is still being diverted to sea. Thousands of rural central California homes, in Dust Bowl fashion, have been abandoned due to a sinking aquifer and dry wells. One in three American welfare recipients resides in California. Almost a quarter of the state population lives below or near the poverty line. Yet the state's gas and electricity prices are among the nation's highest.
