Got Hypocrisy? CAIR Demands School Accomodate Muslim Prayer; Attacks Voluntary Bible Lessons | Independent Journal Review
June 3, 2013
CAIR gives the left a run for its money in the hypocrisy department.
I often say "the hypocrisy of the left know no bounds" - which is true. But the left has nothing on the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Two stories from Michigan illustrate the point - loud and clear...

Student Tells Health Teacher There's "Something With My Penis", She Allegedly Performs Sex Act on Him
Well, it doesn't get anymore graphic than this Female Teacher Sex Scandal.
Basically we have one coach driving some kids around in his car when one of the occupants, a 13-year-old boy claims he told his female health teacher (and also a coach) that there was "something wrong with his penis." The teacher, Marlena Mints, 31, allegedly responded as any teacher would, asking the lad to come to her classroom so she could, uh, take a closer look. And, reportedly, upon seeing his manhood, promptly performed a sex act on it...
News Ltd says unvaccinated children should be banned
May 5, 2013
Several articles have appeared in today's Daily Telegraph (and, I believe, other newspapers which are published by News Ltd - a company with very close ties to vaccine company Glaxo SmithKline) which you should be made aware of.
These articles not only call for vaccinations to be made compulsory and for unvaccinated children to be banned from places such as schools and playgroups, but they blame the unvaccinated for diseases and deaths in the fully vaccinated! The author of these articles is Jane Hansen and for those who haven't read some of her past articles on this issue, you really should if for no other reason then to inform yourself of the attitude of a (hopefully) tiny percentage of the Australian media when it comes to the issue of health rights.
Michelle Obama: "Guns Have Children Fearing Death Every Day"
May 3, 2013
First lady Michelle Obama said that students at a high school just five miles from her family's Chicago home told her that "every day they wake up and wonder whether they're going to make it out of school alive."
In an interview with "CBS Sunday Morning" that will air this weekend, the first lady said that when she met students after delivering a speech last month on gun violence, she was struck by the extent to which fear dominated the children's everyday lives. "I mean, every single kid worries about their own death, or the death of someone, every single day," Obama said.
OUTRAGEOUS! Entire HS relay team disqualified after runner made religious gesture after crossing finish line
May 2, 2013
I know you guys probably think I overuse the word 'outrageous', but everyday it seems more and more outrageous things are happening.
And in this case, all the Columbus High School 4 X 100 relay team runner did was point one finger toward God as he crossed the finish line and the entire team was completely disqualified. And they were winning the regional meet and were headed to the state championships. And now disqualified. All that work for nothing.
From Homeschooler to College Student: Successfully Transitioning Your Teen to College
April 29, 2013
While public school kids may be sent off on their own as soon as they graduate, homeschooled kids often benefit from continued mentoring from their parents while gaining experience with teachers, tests, and grades.
This is something we homeschoolers tend not to talk about, and I think we should. The first year after high school graduation may find you in a supportive role, similar to a school guidance counselor. Remain an involved homeschooling parent just a bit longer while your new graduate eases into independence. There is so much to learn about college! A little bit of preparation in the weeks before the term starts will make the transition easier. If your teen knows the lingo and expectations, he'll be ahead of the game!
Student Sent Home for 'Support the Troops' Shirt at Army Base
April 24, 2013
The daughter of a U.S. soldier deployed overseas was reportedly sent home from school by administrators for violating the dress code.
Cejai Taylor wore a red t-shirt to honor her father, Sgt. James Taylor, and other service members. It was part of a "red shirt day" campaign that she hoped to start at the school. And here's the kicker. This all happened at Mahaffey Middle School, which is located on Fort Campbell Army Base in Kentucky.
Lawsuit: 11-Year-Old Girl Falsely Charged with Rape
Parents of an 11-year-old Canfield girl cleared of false rape charges is suing the city, police department and investigators for $5 million, alleging investigators pursued the case because of political connections after learning accusations were false.
The parents alleged in a lawsuit filed Tuesday in U.S. Northern District Court in Youngstown that Canfield Police Chief Chuck Colucci pressured investigators and juvenile prosecutors to pursue the case against the girl despite investigators believing that her three accusers were lying to get her in trouble. The lawsuit said the girl fell asleep on her mother's lap during a five-hour interrogation, that she was eventually charged with multiple counts of rape and was held in the Juvenile Detention Center on charges despite detectives believing the girl was innocent. The charges were dismissed after one of the accusers, all 11 year olds, told police the group conspired to lie to get the girl in trouble.
8th grader suspended over t-shirt returns to school wearing the same shirt
April 17, 2013
Jared Marcum, the eighth grade Logan, West Virginia student who was suspended and arrested after refusing to change his NRA t-shirt at school, was met by several supporters Monday morning outside of Logan Middle School.
Jared returned to class, fresh off of suspension, wearing the same exact shirt that initiated the "t-shirt control" controversy in the first place. "There's a lot of people wearing this same exact shirt, showing great, great support and I really appreciate it," Jared said just before walking into school.
