"Judge Croskey has clearly allowed his personal bias to override his responsibility to impartial interpretation of the laws. The Judge has egregiously breached his duties," says Rothschild.

A study conducted on 23 college campuses has found that Internet plagiarism is rising among students.
Thirty-eight percent of the undergraduate students surveyed said that in the last year they had engaged in one or more instances of "cut-and-paste" plagiarism involving the Internet, paraphrasing or copying anywhere from a few sentences to a full paragraph from the Web without citing the source. Here we have a graduating class of 200 students representing a cross section of America. Today we are interested in 40 of them. We are going to imagine what happens to the top 20 graduates and the bottom 20.
The top 20 are a mixed bag. There are athletes and nerds, socialites and wall flowers. They all share one thing in common, however. They are all high achievers. They work hard to get good grades, they are involved in their communities and churches and they have support from family members. They always show up and always follow instructions. A fast-growing subset of homeschooling called 'unschooling' turns traditional education on its ear.
And it's catching on. In the past 20 years the number of unschoolers in the United States has grown from fewer than 2,000 to more than 100,000, says Patrick Farenga, president of Holt Associates, Inc., a Boston-area organization started by John Holt, the late education reformer who coined the term "unschooling."

In the past 20 years the number of unschoolers in the United States has grown from fewer than 2,000 to more than 100,000. That's a conservative estimate; others in the education field put the number closer to 200,000 and say the unschooling population is growing by 10 to 15 percent each year.

A Great Example Of Good Laws About To Die

After almost 20 years of concealed carry being legal in Oregon schools, one old fool now seeks a ban so that the state's schools can be "gun-free" - like Aurora, Sandy Hook, Clackamas Town Center and every other mass shooting site.
Oregon State Senate Pres. Peter Courtney (D) says it's likely there will be a vote on a ban similar to the one he previous pushed, which was narrowly rejected. But, now, Democrats have increased their majority in the state Senate and gained control of the House. So, this legal right to arm and defend oneself on school grounds appears to be in jeopardy.
