Glyphosate has contaminated land, water, air, and our food supply; the maximum permitted levels are set to rise by100-150 times in the European Union if Monsanto gets its way as damning evidence of serious harm to health & the environment piles up.

The use of glyphosate-based herbicides, especially Monsanto's Roundup formulation, has increased dramatically since the introduction of genetically modified (GM) glyphosate-tolerant crops, resulting in the contamination of our food, environment and water supplies. Glyphosate-based herbicides are now the most commonly used herbicides in the world. It is still promoted as 'safe', despite damning evidence of serious harm to health and the environment.

Dr. Helen Ratajczak, a former drug company scientist, just published a comprehensive review of autism research. Buried in her 79-page review, on page 70, are five words that reveal a secret Big Pharma has kept from you: "...grown in human fetal tissue."

As Dr. Mercola reports for Health Impact News Daily, Dec. 21, 2011, the line reads (page 70): "An additional increased spike in incidence of autism occurred in 1995 when the chicken pox vaccine was grown in human fetal tissue." But that fact is never disclosed in your vaccine consent form, which is why most people are unaware that cell cultures derived from aborted human fetuses have been used extensively in vaccine production for decades. The question about whether a child should begin kindergarten when he or she reaches the prescribed age for school entry has "readiness" written all over it.

And as we all know, "readiness" is not something that can be easily measured. What variables need to be considered when we think about readiness for? Ask any child who has had to repeat a grade how they feel about having been "left back" and you'll quickly realize how serious a decision this is for parents and educators to make. An early study asked young students to rate a series of stressful events, and being left back ranked third, immediately following "going blind" and "losing a parent." Point made!

I saw this yesterday for the first time, a couple of days after the Daily Mail wrote about it, but the TED video has been up almost a month, and has over 460,000 views.  It's long, but worth every moment of time. 

The wizards of MIT have developed a camera that takes video at one trillion frames per second, a huge leap that now allows researchers to see how light travels. The result is a spectacular and detailed video progression that shows how photons travel, break apart, get absorbed, and bounce repeatedly within an infinitesimal space of time.

Don't be silly. You wouldn't give up the Internet for the rest of your life for one million dollars, and it would still be a bad bet at one billion dollars.

In short, we need people with lots of disposable income to become early adopters and drive the demand that eventually makes technology accessible to everyone. The cell phone demonstrates just how much that process has accelerated. Thanks to the government-protected AT&T monopoly, mobile phones were almost nonexistent until the 1980s. When competition opened in the Ma Bell breakup, investors and innovators jumped into the market. Cell phones didn't just get smaller, they got a lot cheaper very quickly and began to displace pagers within a decade. Now they're so ubiquitous that nearly everyone can own one, even if it's just a cheapie pre-pay phone. Most cell phones now carry broadband Internet access capability, which allows for massive access to the public. The more people use the Internet, the more important it becomes to be connected to it.
