The basic human rights protections established by the Nuremberg Code, which was adopted immediately after the end of World War II, continue to serve as a global template for how human beings are to be treated by the scientific community.

But the modern equivalent of the Holocaust is now taking form under the guise of feeding the world and saving the planet, with Monsanto and others in the biotech industry routinely testing their chemicals and faux foods on the public without informed consent, just like amoral scientists did in the death camps. As far as medical experiments go, every individual has the right under the Code to consent, or not, to being used in scientific trials or tests that involve toying around with new or unusual substances. This constitutes the essence of the Code, which expressly prohibits human experimentation unless the person being experimented on first gives his or her permission, with full disclosure of any potential adverse events.

An Illinois beekeeper with more than a decade's worth of expertise about how to successfully raise organic, chemical-free bees is the latest victim of flagrant government tyranny

According to the Prairie Advocate, Terrence "Terry" Ingram of Apple River, Ill., owner of Apple Creek Apiaries, recently had his bees and beehives stolen from him by the Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDofA), as well as more than 15 years' worth of research proving Monsanto's Roundup to be the cause of Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) destroyed.

An MIT professor has used the analytic tools of applied economics to show that children faced with two options - being allowed to stay at home or being placed into foster care - have generally better life outcomes when they remain with their families.

"My research suggests that children on the margin of foster care placement have better employment, delinquency, and teen motherhood outcomes when they remain at home." Doyle, the Jon D. Gruber Career Development Assistant Professor of Applied Economics, said his study is the first to empirically demonstrate causal effects between placement decisions and long-term outcomes.

Last week AEI education scholar Frederick Hess mentioned a study that found that Milwaukee's school voucher system -- the first of its kind in a major U.S. city -- has shown disappointing results.

Students in the voucher program are performing no better than public school students on tests, according to this study. Hess took those findings to suggest that at the least the voucher system in Milwaukee has not been the panacea that school-choice proponents have promised. Matt Yglesias took it one step further and called the program a "failure."

A child who is subject to harsh discipline or witnesses violence in the home is likely to have increased psychological and behavioral problems with further exposure to abuse, a study found.

The study found that previously abused children who subsequently witnessed home violence were more likely to have internalized symptoms, such as anxiety and depression. By contrast, previously abused children subjected to further harsh physical discipline externalized their symptoms, becoming more aggressive and prone to rule-breaking, the researchers reported.

Consent Of The Governed

The U.S. Department of Education, National Center for Education, came out with their report on homeschooling. It's been all the talk on websites and blogs and Facebook.

The USAToday analysis is simplistic and ignores basic economic facts, while trying to create a sense that homeschoolers are somehow whiter and richer. They are misleading, and neglected to mention the more impressive growth in numbers of non-white children who homeschool.

This report presents the results of a unique study conducted by the authors in collaboration with the San Diego Unified School District (the second-largest district in California). <br><br>For this study, the authors compiled a highly detailed, student-level database that enabled them to link factors influencing student achievement in ways that have not been possible with the state-level data generally used in such studies. In this report, they examine resource inequalities across schools, explore trends in achievement, and, most important, provide detailed statistical estimates of the school and classroom factors that most influence student achievement.

How do you come to dominate the majority of commodity crops in the U.S.? How do you convince government that your products are the savior of agriculture? How do you convince people that your products pose no danger to their health?

Don't allow research on your product. Take over the funding of research at agricultural universities. And all the while, spend hundreds of millions of dollars on advertising and lobbying. This is how Monsanto has been able to shove its genetically-engineered crops onto so much farmland in the U.S. without adequate testing. It's a giant experiment. Our food system, public health, and environmental health are the victims.

All Isabella "Bella" Weems really wanted was a used car. That desire set in motion a chain of events that led to the Arizona teenager spearheading what is now a multi-million dollar enterprise that she may someday control.

Weems, now 17, is founder of Origami Owl, a custom jewelry company whose direct sales business model turns would-be entrepreneurs into salespeople and evangelists. The company, which she founded in 2010 at age 14, generated $24 million in revenue in 2012 and this year expects to reach $250 million, according to the company. Origami Owl takes on independent associates - known as "designers" - who buy products at a discount and then peddle them to others for a marked up price. One of the favorite points of sale are "jewelry bars," or private parties at someone's home or another venue operated by a "hostess" (the hostesses get discounts and some free products too). The company has about 50,887 designers.

Back in June, we announced a pilot program to allow users to surface Google Search data in Google Analytics by linking their Webmaster Tools accounts.

We've been busy making some improvements and tweaks based on user feedback, and today we're excited to make this set of reports available to all users. The Webmaster Tools section contains three reports based on the Webmaster Tools data that we hope will give you a better sense of how your site performs in search results. We've created a new section for these reports called Search Engine Optimization that will live under the Traffic Sources section
