While the monopoly the state has on education and the subversion of the public school system can raise an almost murderous ire among informed parents, it remains one of the least addressed issues in the public arena.

This is, of course, in a large part due to such things as the recent economic meltdown and the war on terror having been made chief concerns of the 2008 general election. Since the election, militant gays in particular have been emboldened toward advancing their agenda...

A corporate executive for McDonald's restaurants who had been on board of directors of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce has stepped down following a boycott of the chain organized by the pro-family American Family Association.

McDonald's officials confirmed today to WND that Richard Ellis, who had been named to the "gay" chamber board after McDonald's contributed $20,000 to the organization, "made a personal decision to step down" after he accepted a new position with McDonald's Restaurants of Canada.

McDonald's, home of kids' Happy Meals and the Big Mac, has been cited by a boycott campaign for sponsoring conferences at which homosexuals are trained to be activists, according to the American Family Association.

"First, the company paid $20,000 to become a member of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and to have a seat on the board of directors. Next, McDonald's refused a request to remain neutral in the culture war by choosing to promote the gay agenda. Then McDonald's accused those opposing the gay agenda, including same-sex marriage, of being motivated by hate," the AFA's alert said.

Advocacy group charges the sports TV network ESPN has failed to respond properly to a graphic rant by anchorwoman Dana Jacobson in which she "attacked Jesus Christ."

Jacobson, reportedly intoxicated, was speaking at a celebrity roast in Atlantic City, N.J., when she unleashed a profane tirade, saying, "F--- Notre Dame," "F--- Touchdown Jesus" and finally "F--- Jesus."

An illegal alien involved in a traffic accident that killed a 64-year-old Kentucky woman probably was driving that night - instead of back in his own country through a deportation - because of political pressure.

WND already has reported that violence brought into the United States by illegal aliens costs about 12 American lives daily, and that a wave of gang-rapes has been linked to illegal aliens. It also has documented the death toll from illegal aliens on U.S. roads and how illegals who drink and drive cause further tragedies in the United States.

One hundred Mexican trucking companies will have unlimited access to U.S. roads to haul international cargo as part of a year-long pilot program, the Department of Transportation announced today

In return, 100 U.S. trucking companies will be allowed to operate in Mexico but at a later date. Calling for congressional hearings, Teamsters General President Jimmy Hoffa compared the announcement to the "Dubai Ports debacle," charging President Bush is "playing a game of Russian roulette on America's highways."

Wal-Mart officials are standing by their policy of encouraging employees to use the "Happy Holidays" greeting rather than "Merry Christmas," but the worker responsible for an e-mail describing the pagan origins of Christmas no longer works for the company

"Wal-Mart is proud to welcome customers of all faiths, and celebrants of all holidays," Wal-Mart spokesman Dan Fogleman said in a bulk response e-mail to WorldNetDaily's original story. "We sincerely apologize to any person or organization that was offended by the inappropriate and inflammatory comments made by this former associate."

A former teacher of the year in South Florida is hoping to keep her teaching license after she was fired last week for giving her freshman high-school students a creative quiz hinting of sexuality and obscene language.

One question read: "What is a four-letter word that ends in K and means the same as intercourse'" Hint: You do it all the time, especially when you shouldn't, except when your parents ask what you did in school." The answer, according to Littrell, is "talk."

The coming election is now all about finding viable solutions for our energy problems. Just kidding it's all about excuses to drill in the region of our wallets and purses again.

Unless we can figure out a way to put caribou on our paychecks, the worst is yet to come. Barack Obama opposes a lift on the ban on oil drilling off the Florida coast. Not only because drilling would cause disruptive ripples in the water on which Obama's walking, but because he claims it would take at least 10 years...
