The Washington Post's Aaron Blake posted an infographic that was a perfect example of how one can use a graphic chart to influence the public in subtle ways, ways that we of the center right better start employing in our own efforts.

Blake's post, "Why People Hate Congress," fits in well with President Obama's class warfare rhetoric as employed by his campaign to set different economic classes against each other in a desperate and cynically populist bid to get reelected next year. There is little of substance to Blake's post other than to fan the flames of the sort of hatred that he wants to see grow in order to aid Obama in 2012. The Post's Blake also ended up having to pull the graphic off his The Fix blog post because it simply did not illustrate what he claimed it did in his story - but that is another issue that we'll deal with at the end of this report.

This past weekend the Washington Post published a hit piece on the grand opening of a museum in Georgia dedicated to the birthplace of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

The paper was desperate to make some grand conspiracy, some lawbreaking evil out of the project. But whatever is going on with the museum, this story was just one more shot orchestrated by the left aimed at forcing Justice Thomas to recuse himself from the upcoming hearings on whether or not Obamacare is Constitutional. Of course, this is all a smoke screen to hide the fact that it is really left-wing darling Justice Elana Kagan that should recuse herself from the case.

In her exclusive interview with Representative Gabrielle Giffords (D, AZ), ABCs Diane Sawyer began with a retrospective of the terrible crime committed against the Congresswoman by a mentally disturbed, a-political gunman.

But true to her left-wing agenda, Sawyer could not resist illicitly linking tea party activists, anti-Obamacare sentiment, and even Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to what was perpetrated against Rep. Giffords on that terrible day. Yes, even though these calumnies against conservatives and Sarah Palin have been thoroughly discredited, Sawyer links them anyway to the shocking crime that took the lives of six people, injured others, and delivered a debilitating head wound to Representative Giffords.

Like the rest of the large cities in the US, Chicago is currently suffering from small pockets of Occupy protesters and their ever-present signs.

Like with every other big city these signs are often misspelled, sometimes profane, commonly anti-capitalist, occasionally anti-Semitic, almost always anti-American, not to mention merely ignorant of the facts. But one thing that is the same in every protest, at least in the media reportage of same, is that the worst of the signs go unseen by the general American news consumer.

In a recurrence of its bout with Bush Derangement Syndrome, MSNBC recently relied on a left-wing, green activist to assert that the whole Solyndra scandal was really started by George W. Bush.

Yep, it's Boosh's fault once again. Of course, the facts speak otherwise, but let's not let truth get in the way of a good left-wing trope, shall we? On the Friday September 23 episode of "MSNBC Live," host Thomas Roberts was discussing the wasted loan of half a billion in tax dollars to the later bankrupt green company Solyndra and he brought on a the left-winger to address the mounting scandal plaguing the Obama administration. Naturally Thomas and guest were desperate to find someone other than Obama to blame this mess on. And who better to blame than the left's favorite fall guy, George W. Bush?

The Obama administration has been touting new Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards to be imposed on America's automobile manufacturers saying that it will save all Americans money at the pumps.

Unfortunately, there are all sorts of hidden costs of which the administration isn't noting, costs that will drive up the price of driving in multiple ways for all of us. The new standards are supposed to raise the miles per gallon requirements from the 2016 mandate of 35.5 mpg to 56 mpg by the year 2025. The administration claims that this would be a big savings and would serve to help get Americans off a reliance on foreign oil. Curiously, as Obama touts his new CAFE standards as a way to get us off foreign oil, there is no talk at all of increasing domestic oil production which would help do the same thing. But I digress.

ABC's Brian Ross claimed that Michele Bachmann's staff pushed him around on July 19 at a campaign appearance. I know, I know, you are waiting for the pity party to start.

In a fit of wild hyperbole, Ross called his treatment by Bachmann similar to the treatment he's received "mostly by Mafia people." The left-o-sphere has taken up Ross' banner, of course, but one can only laugh at Ross considering the ho hum treatment that the media gave back in January of 2010 when a Democrat accosted a different reporter. In truth, what happened to Ross is fairly mild and all his fault. Bachmann's staff told the press that she was moving on and would take no further questions but Ross, being the uncouth sort of fella he is, broke away from the other reporters and ran pellmell at the candidate screaming questions anyway.

Apparently the Obama White House is not so fond of the Boston Herald. Well, maybe "not so fond" is too mild. More like furious.

So mad, in fact, that the paper was banned by the White House from covering local visits by Obama and crew. The Boston Herald said "pretty please" and Big Brother O's crew said, "not allowed!" And Orwell would be saying, "I told ya so."

Today's award for the most biased report goes to National Journal for its left-slanted piece on Obama's warning to the House GOP that he will veto any budget that cancels his FCC attempt to take control of the Internet away from private industry.

In his very first paragraph for the National Journal, Josh Smith dives straight into the left side of the pool - and in at the deep end yet - by accepting the left's premise of what the FCC's net neutrality regulations are meant to do.

In a blow to the autonomy of the media it has been discovered that employees of two Old Media outlets are the happy beneficiaries of hundreds of thousands of federal dollars from an Obamacare slush fund.

CBS and the Washington Post have both taken large payments from Obama's Early Retiree Reinsurance Program (ERRP), with the Post getting $573,217 while CBS has received a whopping $722,388.
