Dan Perkins, aka Tom Tomorrow, penned the cartoon in 1994 for Spin magazine.

At the time, the cartoon might have seemed a little hysterical. Remember, this was pre-warrantless-wiretapping, pre-Guantanamo, pre-Snowden, and pre-Obama-assassinating-American-citizens-with-drones, sans trial. Rather, the context for the cartoon was a new NSA gadget called the "Clipper chip" that would have made it easier for government officials to listen in on phone conversations, provided they had the legal authority to do so. (The technology was never widely adopted, and the NSA soon abandoned it.) Now? Not so hysterical. But hey, at least the third panel isn't strictly accurate, yet.

A Texas father who spent nearly 25 years behind bars for a murder he didn't commit is pressing for tougher penalties targeting prosecutors who withhold evidence.

On April 11 the host of Fox's Varney & Co, agreed with Brent Bozell, president of the Media Research Center, that the three major TV networks were withholding information from the American public that revealed the detrimental effects of ObamaCare.

Bozell hurled the charge that the networks are "deliberately censoring news and information from the American people," then backed it up with substantial evidence. The evidence include the following stories, none of which got even one mention on the networks...

In a counterattack against the efforts by the White House and its minions in the mainstream media to eradicate Fox News, Kirtsten Powers, a liberal who works for Fox News, pulls no punches about how serious the situation is, saying, "There is no war on terror for the Obama White House, but there is one on Fox News ...what the Obama administration is doing, and what liberals are funding at MMFA is beyond chilling - it's a deep freeze."

Remember when ABC News elided Mitt Romney's entire opening speech from their transcript of the first presidential debate? Now it's the New York Times that has cut a key phrase from Paul Ryan's closing speech in his debate with Joe Biden last night.

For those who watched or listened to the debate, remember Ryan saying this as he closed? "The choice is clear: a stagnant economy that promotes more government dependency, or a dynamic, growing economy that promotes opportunity and jobs. Mitt Romney and I will not duck the tough issues." Fine so far, right? But then Ryan continued, "And we will not blame others for the next four years."

It is time that the Washington Post was given a new name. Why? Because they have consistently misrepresented facts under the guise of "news" that savages the Romney campaign, then retracted the story when bloggers or websites uncover the truth.

It started yesterday with Booker responding to a tweet to Booker that said, "I believe that romney lies about everything...romney lies....he cares about nothing cept winning..romney is an evil person."

Newark mayor Cory Booker, who was flayed by the Left and referred to as "dead" by members of the Obama Administration after he defended Mitt Romney from attacks on his Bain capital record, is feuding with the Left again - this time over their lack of civility.
