This is why you need to stop eating toxic wheat even if you do not have a gluten disorder.

There is clearly something going on with wheat that is not well known by the general public. It goes far and beyond organic versus nonorganic, gluten or hybridization because even conventional wheat triggers no symptoms for some who eat wheat in other parts of the world.

Aluminum has been long known to be neurotoxic, with mounting evidence that chronic exposure is a factor in many neurological diseases, including dementia, autism, and Parkinson's disease.

Inhaling aluminum dust or vapors sends aluminum particles directly into your lungs in a highly absorbable form, where they pass into your bloodstream and are distributed throughout your body, including your bones and brain. Aluminum powder has been known to cause pulmonary fibrosis, and aluminum factory workers are prone to asthma. Studies of the health effects of aluminum vapors have been grim, pointing to high levels of neurotoxicity.

What can the Russian economy offer to foreign customers? How can Russia promote organically grown foods that are so popular in many countries?

"Siberia is known as a region of huge mineral resources. There are giant companies operating there, such as RUSAL, but Siberia is not integrated into export relationships. This is a paradox. Russia exports Siberian nickel and aluminum, but everything else, including agricultural products, does not see foreign customers.

When the going gets tough, the tough (and smart) get going to health retreats. This has been my fallback position for almost a decade now since I started searching for ways to reset in an increasingly manic life.

Organic devotees are attracted by the prospect of clean food devoid of harmful pesticides that tastes as it should and a diet built of produce that is seasonal and fresh. But unless you live in Queensland where the culture and the climate make for easy organic pickings, tracking down the good stuff can be tricky. Not to mention that organic food is still relatively expensive compared to conventional produce. Some consider it the domain only of "the rich".

The Forest Owners Association has joined forces with Federated Farmers in opposing councils which want to declare themselves genetically modified-free. It has said the councils' moves would be "unworkable".

A group of growers and farmers, campaigning under the Pure Hawke's Bay banner, has persuaded the Hastings District Council to ban GM crops and animals under its district plan for 10 years. Forest Owners Association technical manager Glen Mackie said the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), not councils, should make such decisions. "Clearly, the EPA is best equipped to do this. That's what it's set up to do. But the Environment Court has recently decided that regional councillors should also be given the power to regulate GMOs in their regions.

Is Low Calcium Or An Acidic Diet The Primary Risk For Calcium Deficiency? A Recent meta-analysis of studies (Fenton et al, 2008) has found that increased acidity from the modern diet appears to increase urinary Calcium losses by at least 66mg/day.

Over 20 years this looks like a huge 480g of Calcium lost potentially from bones which contain a total of 1,150g calcium in adults. That is a third of our calcium stores. No wonder we are seeing more osteoporosis, osteopenia and reduced bone density in women and men. To understand this better, let's briefly recap the role calcium plays in our body. Most of us, I am sure, are under the impression, calcium is only important as far as our bone structure and strength goes. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Calcium is required in the body to regulate the pH of the blood. It is found in the bones because that is where it is chiefly stored. Calcium is alkaline and is used to maintain homeostasis of our blood pH. If our blood becomes too acidic our body can go into shock, acidosis and coma.

When we think of the best foods to eat at night, raw honey might not pop into our heads because of how sweet it is, and eating anything sweet before bed typically doesn't end well.

But raw honey is different because of its natural composition, to the point where some doctors are even recommending it be taken before bedtime. Among them is Dr. Ron Fessenden, MD, who authored the book 'The Honey Revolution: Restoring the Health of Future Generations.' Fessenen is among those recommending honey as an ideal food for many reasons and to be taken at many different times of day, but perhaps most interestingly before bed in order to support a healthy night's sleep.

In the wake of a 12-year battle to keep Monsanto's Genetically Engineered (GE) crops from contaminating the nation's 25,000 organic farms and ranches, America's organic consumers and producers are facing betrayal.

A self-appointed cabal of the Organic Elite, spearheaded by Whole Foods Market, Organic Valley, and Stonyfield Farm, has decided it's time to surrender to Monsanto. Top executives from these companies have publicly admitted that they no longer oppose the mass commercialization of GE crops, such as Monsanto's controversial Roundup Ready alfalfa, and are prepared to sit down and cut a deal for "coexistence" with Monsanto and USDA biotech cheerleader Tom Vilsack.

The FDA is warning pasta and pizza lovers that cheese labeled "100 percent Parmesan" are often filled with cheese substitutes-like wood pulp.

Yes, you've been eating wood, thanks to companies like Castle Cheese, which produced Parmesan cheese containing no actual Parmesan for almost 30 years. The president of the company, which supplied megastores like Target, is scheduled to plead guilty this month to charges that carry a sentence of up to a year in prison and a $100,000 fine, according to Bloomberg.
