This fall, new federal regulations are set to go into effect which will prohibit schools from allowing sweets and homemade items to be sold at bake sales.

For decades, underfunded programs within schools have relied on bake sales to raise money. Traditionally, popular items like homemade cupcakes, cookies, and other sweets have generated heaps of revenue, funding school clubs, sports teams' uniforms, and other academic essentials. However, The Wall Street Journal is reporting on new federal regulations, set to take effect this fall in many US states, that would so seriously limit bake sales as to render them ineffective, unprofitable, and pointless in most cases.

Kingman, Arizona, June 27, 2014 - On Wednesday, June 25, Arizona State Senator Kelli Ward held a public forum to discuss public concerns regarding white vapor trails in the skies.

Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) representatives Sherri Zendri and Beth Hager were on hand to answer questions from local residents who presented studies, personal research, and blood samples they claim prove that planes are spraying chemicals. Senator Ward stated the meeting was a response to "relentless" communication from constituents who are concerned with vapor trails commonly called contrails or condensation trails. However, residents say the trails are not standard contrails but rather "chemtrails" being sprayed as part of a global program of weather manipulation. One resident claimed the difference between contrails and chemical trails is easy to spot because the contrails are short and dissipate quickly, while the chemtrails are long, dragged out, and criss-cross the sky.

A new report released by the Drug Policy Alliance and the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, says the DEA has spent the last four decades thwarting marijuana research which carries the potential of reclassification for the drug.

"The DEA has argued for decades that there is insufficient evidence to support rescheduling marijuana," reads the executive summary of the report. "At the same time, it has... acted in a manner intended to systematically impede scientific research." Currently, marijuana is classified as a Schedule I drug, meaning the federal government does not recognize any acceptable uses for the drug, including medicinal uses. The status of Schedule I also means the drugs in this category cannot receive federal funding for research, medicinal or otherwise. Marijuana is joined on the Schedule I tier by peyote, LSD, and heroine.

In a bold move, one think tank is going above the rhetoric and mobilizing a nation to fight back against the NSA.

The power of many is derived from the power of one, and Michael Boldin, Executive Director of the Tenth Amendment Center, is one titan the government has pushed too far. The plan? It's crazy, and risky. So was the iPhone. Attack the Achilles heel of the NSA. Water.

Jury nullification advocates have launched a new billboard campaign on the Washington DC metro.

After raising $3,000 in a little over a week, James Babb put up his first billboard in the Judiciary Square Metro Station near the F Street entrance. That placed it perfectly for prospective jurors en route to the DC Superior Court. The signs read "Good jurors nullify bad laws," and "You have the right to 'hang' the vote if you do not agree with the other jurors." They've drawn both positive attention and the ire of prosecutors who fear the message could influence their cases. It only takes one juror to hang a jury, so if only one person out of a jury of twelve takes the message to heart, many guilty defendants could be acquitted.

Data gleaned from U.S. government websites and government-sanctioned reports on foodborne illnesses show that the risk of contracting foodborne illness by consuming raw milk is much smaller than the risk of becoming ill from other foods.

"At last we have access to the numbers we need to determine the risk of consuming raw milk on a per-person basis," says Sally Fallon Morell, president of the Weston A. Price Foundation, a non-profit nutrition education foundation that provides information on the health benefits of raw, whole milk from pastured cows.
