An Xbox stabbing and shooting after an online dispute sent a 20-year-old California gamer to the hospital, Sacramento's KOVR-TV reports. The alleged attacker, a 17-year-old boy, was arrested on suspicion of burglary and attempted murder.

The victim, Kevin Kemp of Oakley, Calif., says he and the boy were family friends who played video games over Xbox Live, which allows players to interact via headsets. But a virtual-reality argument turned all too real. The dispute that led to the Xbox stabbing and shooting had nothing to do with a video game, Kevin Kemp told KOVR, but it somehow led to him laying down the gauntlet. "I'm like, 'Bro, if you want to do this, come over to my house and we'll do this right now,'" Kemp recounted.

Some people in Doaktown are fighting the suspension of the community's X-ray technician, who refused to get a hepatitis B vaccination.

Janet Hughes says she previously accepted mandatory vaccines for measles, tetanus and whooping cough. But she refused the hepatitis B injection because she believes she was infected with hepatitis C when she was younger and feared the vaccine might cause a negative reaction. New Brunswick's Horizon Health Network suspended her without pay three months ago. Hughes contends it's a human rights issue.

Take subject X. What if nearly everything we're told about X - by the most famous experts and by people in government, as well as most folks in the media - is wrong?

Let X be diet. Maybe the whole "anti-fat" idea, dominant for most of my adult life, is wrong. There's evidence for it. Let X be AGW, the theory of anthropogenic (human-caused) global warming. We're told that there's a consensus in favor of it. But there's less to that alleged consensus than meets the eye - or scientific rigor. But to really blow your mind, consider central banking.

State legislators in Wyoming, like American preppers, have decided to prepare for economic and political collapse of the United States because of the Nation's soaring national debt and Americans' growing dissatisfaction with the Federal government.

A House bill recently passed in the State (HB 85) calls for the creation of a State-run continuity task force to study and prepare Wyoming for potential catastrophes including disruptions in food and energy supplies and a complete breakdown of the Federal government. The task force will consider the feasibility of the State issuing its own currency, creating a standing army, implementing a State military draft and acquiring strike aircraft and an aircraft carrier.

Here's one the mainstream media isn't going to tell you: County sheriffs in Wyoming are demanding that federal agents actually abide by the Constitution, or face arrest. Even better, a U.S. Federal District Court agreed.

The court decision was the result of a suit against both the BATF and the IRS by Mattis and other members of the Wyoming Sheriff's Association. The suit in the Wyoming federal court district sought restoration of the protections enshrined in the United States Constitution and the Wyoming Constitution...

What started off as a routine harassment from a middle school teacher to a student over a t-shirt he was wearing has turned into an embarrassing and infuriating abuse of First Amendment rights in West Virginia.

First, school officials suspended 14-year-old Jared Marcum because he was wearing an NRA shirt. Then police arrested him because he had argued in the principal's office that the shirt wasn't breaking school policy. This week, prosecutors tried to keep him from speaking to the media through an emergency gag order, which they said would serve in his "better interest." But Logan County prosecutors Christopher White and Sabrina Deskins are the same people trying to convict him on a charge of obstruction, which could land him in jail for a year, so they are the last people looking out for his better interest.

Police in Scranton Pennsylvania are currently holding a kidnap victim against her will, to ensure that she will appear in court to testify against the man who kidnapped and assaulted her.

Faith Bronson is a 34 year old woman who was recently attacked by her mentally unstable boyfriend Ross Bonaddio. Bonaddio had assaulted and kidnapped her, and was holding her against her will. Bonaddio was allegedly under a delusion that aliens were inside of Faith, and he planned to extract them. According to a police report, he screwed the doors of his home shut, so she could not leave. After three days, she escaped to a neighbor's house where the police were called. When the police arrived, Bronson had already returned to her boyfriends house, where they found her covered in bruises. Since detectives had been unable to contact Bronson, and she had expressed in recorded phone conversations that she did not want to testify, they felt that it would be necessary to incarcerate her. Now she is being held captive by the police because they are concerned that she may not testify against Bonaddio.

Lost in all the screeching over the Citizens United ruling two years ago was the fact that unions have largely been exempt from campaign-finance restrictions on speech.

Unions spent a fortune in 2010, far more than the corporations will in this election, no matter what the hysterics think. In fact, according to FEC reports from that election, unions accounted for three of the top five outside groups in spending for the midterms - specifically, public-sector unions AFSCME, SEIU, and the NEA. Today, the Wall Street Journal reports that even those numbers are deceiving as to the real spending by unions, with or without Citizens United.

Due largely to unauthorized leaks, we now know that the National Security Agency has seized from private companies voluminous data on the phone and Internet usage of all U.S. citizens.

We've also learned that the United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court has approved the constitutionality of these seizures in secret proceedings in which only the government appears, and in opinions kept secret even from the private companies from whom the data are seized. If this weren't disturbing enough, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, created by the 2010 Dodd-Frank financial reform, is compiling a massive database of citizens' personal information-including monthly credit-card, mortgage, car and other payments-ostensibly to protect consumers from abuses by financial institutions.

This pretty much amounts to an empty threat, because no matter what happens, Obama will blame Republicans anyway.

Mr. Obama repeatedly lost patience with the speaker as negotiations faltered. In an Oval Office meeting last week, he told Mr. Boehner that if the sides didn’t reach agreement, he would use his inaugural address and his State of the Union speech to tell the country the Republicans were at fault. At one point, according to notes taken by a participant, Mr. Boehner told the president, “I put $800 billion [in tax revenue] on the table. What do I get for that?” “You get nothing,” the president said. “I get that for free.”
