In a video that's gone viral, so-called "First Amendment cop" Stan Lenic lays down the (constitutional) law as protesters and airport officials argue over the right to hand out fliers.

The video shows a protester handing out fliers to passengers at the Albany International Airport in New York. She warns them of the health risks of going through full-body scanners and reminds them of their right to opt out, reports Albany's WNYT-TV. Then the airport's public relations guru Doug Myers approaches. He tells the young woman to turn off the camera and leave the area. Enter the "First Amendment cop" (actually, Sheriff's Deputy Lenic), who looks like he's going to back up Myers' cause. But what Lenic does next has made him a hero for free-speech advocates around the Internet.

Armed with cellphones and connected through Facebook, bands of young people have been rushing into stores to steal goods or assaulting bystanders in a spate of recent "flash mob" incidents across the USA.

Philadelphia leaders imposed an early curfew on parts of the city this month after roving bands of teens beat and robbed bystanders during violent attacks across the city. This week, surveillance cameras caught several dozen youths swarming into convenience stores in Germantown, Md., and Washington, D.C., and stealing armfuls of snacks and drinks as the store clerk looked on helplessly.

A comparison: July 4, 1776 - July 4, 2012

On July 4, 1776, the American colonists declared independence from an overbearing king and legislature that imposed their will upon them without any regard for their petitions. "We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us," states the Declaration of Independence. Sound familiar? A defiant president and a Congress controlled by Democrats granted themselves an unwarranted jurisdiction when they, the Democrats only, passed ObamaCare. "Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury," the Declaration states. Sound familiar?

Obama remains oblivious to lessons China and India learned the hard way.

The political slogan "Forward" served Barack Obama well during this year's election campaign. It said that he was for going forward, while Republicans were for "going back to the failed policies that got us into this mess in the first place." It was great political rhetoric and great political theater. Moreover, the Republicans did virtually nothing to challenge its shaky assumptions with a few hard facts that could have made those assumptions collapse like a house of cards. More is involved than this year's political battles. The word "forward" has been a political battle cry on the left for more than a century. It has been almost as widely used as the left's other favorite word, "equality," which goes back more than two centuries.

A voice mail tune on a phone in Beaver County, Pa., was mistaken as a threat, and officials closed down schools for 20 minutes.

The voice mail actually played the theme from the 1990s sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," which contains a line, "And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school," the Beaver County Times reported. Officials thought the line was about "shooting people outside of the school," the newspaper said.

This brings us to that bastion of balanced journalism, PBS's "Frontline", which offered a gross misrepresentation of Medicaid dentistry in this country in their June 26 episode.

"Dollars and Dentists" goes laughingly out of its way to bow at the altar of free health care and criticize for-profit providers who have provided a solution to a lack of dental care for low-income families. The show was a parody of "investigative journalism", trotting out a rogue's gallery of Typical Sympathetic Victims: poor people, the toothless, old ladies who are hard of hearing, screaming children, the undereducated, and crusading public officials. "Correspondent" Miles O'Brien accomplished this with the assistance of the Center for Public Integrity, an organization funded by a slew of Leftist charitable organizations.

Farmer: 'I really don't consider it as David and Goliath. I think of it in terms of right and wrong'

Farmer Hugh Bowman on his Sandborn, Ind. farm. "I really don't consider it as David and Goliath. I don't think of it in those terms. I think of it in terms of right and wrong," said the farmer in a recent interview.

Inside the cover of the most recent issue of Newsweek, adorned by a rainbow haloed President Obama as the "first gay president," is an article about New Mexico governor Susana Martinez.

The article is largely positive piece about Governor Martinez's compelling life story, her successes in the first year and a half of her term as governor, and what she could contribute to the national GOP as a whole and presumptive nominee Mitt Romney specifically.

A Maine homosexual activist has used a court to deliver the latest "SWAT" attack on a pro-family advocate, obtaining a protective order even though the defendant, Brian Camenker of Mass Resistance, never had contacted him.

"SWAT" attacks on pro-family and pro-faith ministries have developed lately, and they involve someone using a telephone program and calling authorities purporting to be from the ministry or ministry leader's location. They "report" a murder, shooting or similar event. SWAT teams from local police jurisdictions then descend on the unsuspecting ministry leader and his family with guns drawn, creating high levels of danger for the innocent people.

Pro-homosexual activists last night attacked the Christian Liberty Academy - throwing concrete bricks through its windows - and then issued a statement claiming responsibility for the crime...

"These chunks of concrete were thrown through these windows and doors for two reasons: to show that there is a consequence for hatred and homophobia in our community and to directly cause this event to be shut down. If this event is not shut down, and the homophobic day trainings do not end, the Christian liberty academy will continue to be under constant attack."
