A leaked copy of the world's most authoritative climate study reveals scientific forecasts of imminent doom were drastically wrong.

The Mail on Sunday has obtained the final draft of a report to be published later this month by the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the ultimate watchdog whose massive, six-yearly 'assessments' are accepted by environmentalists, politicians and experts as the gospel of climate science. They are cited worldwide to justify swingeing fossil fuel taxes and subsidies for 'renewable' energy. Yet the leaked report makes the extraordinary concession that over the past 15 years, recorded world temperatures have increased at only a quarter of the rate of IPCC claimed when it published its last assessment in 2007.

Nebraska has seen a lot of turmoil in its child welfare system, yet one thing lamentably has remained unchanged: The state continues to remove a high percentage of children out of troubled homes.

Nebraska has seen a lot of turmoil in its child welfare system, yet one thing lamentably has remained unchanged: The state continues to remove a high percentage of children out of troubled homes. Consider the numbers. In 59 percent of Nebraska child welfare cases, the state Foster Care Office reports, the reason for removal isn't physical abuse; it's a failure to provide for the child's needs, whether physical, educational, medical or emotional. (Physical abuse was the reason last year for removal in 19 percent of cases.)

Almost six dozen passers-by in downtown Greeley have been tapped on the shoulder and ordered to report for jury duty - immediately, in a fiasco that still hasn't been explained fully.

Court officials said of 200 summonses sent recently to residents of Weld County, only 39 reported for their civic duty, so an order was issued by District Judge Roger Klein for court administrators to simply hand out orders demanding immediate jury service to anyone they could find.

News flash: Compared to free enterprise, central planning is a reliably inefficient, costly, and ill-fated way to allocate resources.

Just kidding, totally not a news flash. It's just good ol' fashioned common sense - leastaways, you'd think it would be common sense, given that historical examples abound, except that President Obama doesn't quite seem to get it. Whenever he goes into touting-his-green-energy-"investments" mode, he is constantly suggesting that not only is China gaining an advantage over us in the clean-energy market of the future (how he presumes to know that 'wind and solar are the future' is still a mystery to me, seeing as how consumers have yet to voluntarily cotton on to these technologies), but that we should follow suit and adopt some of the same central-planning measures China does in order to keep up with their supposedly burgeoning market - and it's akin to the deaf willfully following the blind.

I was going to do a post about the White House's stupid new AttackWatch website, where you - yes, you - can report someone saying something mean about Barack Obama.

But instead of mocking it, let's try to get on it. Here's an attack for them: Why was it so desperately important that Joe Biden announce the Solyndra loan at the groundbreaking ceremony for the company's new plant that federal analysts had to be rushed through their review of a $500 million deal? Is that good enough to make the site? Or do I have to throw in something about Obama's birth certificate?

Anyone who still supports the usurper-and-cheat Obama based on his agriculture "policies" has apparently not been paying any attention whatsoever to reality.

Contradicting nearly every promise he made on the campaign trail with regards to reforming American agriculture and kicking out the special interests, Obama has done the exact opposite of virtually everything he said he would do, filling key government positions in both agriculture and trade with executives from the chemical and biotechnology industries. With a legacy that is now substantially more corrupt than even that of Bush Jr., Obama has exposed himself as nothing more than a puppet and lapdog of corporate agriculture, having lied his way into the White House with promises of ending the reign of terror that corporations still hold over American agriculture. Rather than keep any of these promises, Obama instead decided to fortify the ranks of the very same corporate oligarchy that continues to promote unlabeled genetically-modified organisms (GMOs), toxic crop chemicals, environmentally-destructive monoculture, and other industrial systems.

It's a stunning allegation that makes the other gunrunning scandals look like child's play.

Phil Jordan, a former CIA operative and one-time leader of U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration's El Paso Intelligence Center, claims that the Obama administration is running guns to the violent Zetas cartel through the direct commercial sale of military grade weapons.

Are online social media sites like Facebook, Google+ and others as addictive as some drugs like meth? Yes, say an increasing number of social observers and experts. Their advice? Step away from the computer and do it now, while you still can.

Don't get us wrong; we here at NaturalNews understand very well and appreciate the fact that we are an Internet-based publication. And while we appreciate the hundreds of thousands of daily readers we get, in no way do we believe we are feeding an addiction; rather, we see ourselves as filling a niche. But interactive social media sites are a different Internet animal altogether, and many are beginning to see them as intrinsically harmful to society as a whole.

It's California according to a new study.

California has the worst credit rating of any state and the nation's worst credit rating record over the past 11 years. That's according to a new nationwide study by the Pew Center. It's based on the Standard and Poor's credit ratings and covers every year since 2001.

Don't be surprised if the biggest ratings firms believe it would have been better to go over the fiscal cliff than have Tuesday's 11th-hour budget deal approved by the U.S. Congress.

By the standards that the three largest ratings firms outlined in the lead-up to a year-end deadline to avoid $500 billion in automatic tax increases and spending cuts, the deal falls far short of what's needed to shore up the U.S. government's credit standing. The bill permanently extends current income-tax rates for households making less than $450,000 and postpones for two months negotiations over the sequestered spending cuts, but fails to address any long-term deficit-reduction plan.
