The whole 'green jobs' thing, this renewables industry, "has a fuse on it". And not in a good way.

As one should expect from anything the principal argum...er, mantra...invoked in its favor is 'it will create jobs!' (what could you possibly do with $80 billion that wouldn't 'create jobs' in the frailest, most temporary, non-net sense...as we've seen is the case with 'green jobs'?).

There's a chance, albeit slight, that the environmentally-conscious celebrities who push these "green" vehicles will loan the Queensland police some of their SUVs, Hummers and limousines so they can have enough room for their equipment, but I'm not counti

Proposed new rule: Nobody should be forced to drive a car that can't easily fit Al Gore's BS in the trunk. In general, is it wise, given the apparent fact that an increasingly hotter planet is destined to bury everyone in several feet of snow, to be making people drive smaller cars? It's a good thing Noah wasn't a Gorebot, or he'd have told everybody ride out the flood in something the size of a gravy boat - and kept the Ark for himself, of course.

I'm currently seeking a government grant to develop my idea for creating "green" energy by harnessing the wind power generated by the doors of DoE-backed solar operations slamming shut simultaneously.

By my calculations this plan would create enough electricity to power Paducah for almost a year... maybe more.

All you need to know: the key gun statistics, straight from the gun-control groups themselves.

After the Newtown, Connecticut mass murder, anti-rights politicians and media shifted into high gear. The only "solution" for such a tragedy was another gun ban; within two days, Senator Dianne Feinstein introduced her version. Pundits like the Washington Post's Ezra Klein politicized the tragedy by claiming that America is an unusually violent place, with the only answer being more gun control. There's a problem with all of their hyperbole: it is based upon myth and manipulated data.

Buried at the bottom of a New York Times piece might be the real reason to explain why New York's Journal News did something as sensationally stupid as publishing the names and addresses of over 30,000 legal gun owners living in two New York counties.

In just five years, the Journal News' Monday through Friday circulation rate has plummeted almost 40%, "from 111,536 in September 2007 to 68,850 in September 2012." What the paper did with respect to law-abiding gun owners might have been morally wrong, and it most certainly created a ripple of consequences no reasonable person would consider positive, but this fit of left-wing journalistic activism did win the Journal News some national infamy. And if we've learned nothing else during this 21 Century-era of reality TV, it's that immoral behavior can have its rewards -- especially when that immoral behavior is directed at something the Left despises, like law-abiding gun owners.

Just a day after Rep. Issa warned the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms to not touch the whistleblowers, they present termination papers to Agent Cefalu -- a 30-year veteran of the ATF.

Cefalu is one of the founders of CleanUpATF.org, a message board dedicated to addressing abuses within the ATF. He is one of the most vocal critics of the heads of the organization. He said the main reason given in the four-page document for his termination is "lack of candor." Four years ago, what originally landed Cefalu in trouble was a case called "Road Dog". In that case, local law enforcement was allegedly using an illegal wiretap - something Cefalu resisted...

The mad homicidal rampages in American schools will halt when attackers find out that faculty and students sometimes are armed and trained to use those weapons effectively, so an expert in the defensive use of guns is offering free training to educators.

"The problem is not guns. Guns don't cause these incidents to occur any more than cameras cause child pornography or automobiles cause traffic fatalities," he said. "Society is safer when we train and arm our law abiding citizens."

Big Journalism

Every movement in history experiences challenges that cause it to morph from the purpose and design of its founders, usually in an effort to stay alive.

The incredible world-wide movement of citizen journalism is no different. In chapter one of our* book titled "Handbook for Citizen Journalists," I point out that the movement is happening with no organized structure, no inspirational luminary, no headquarters, no power center, little or no funding, usually no government help and often government interference, no mass marketing strategy, no fixed standards-and most significantly-wild innovation.

Shorter Ann Curry: Your religious beliefs represent hate speech!

Make no mistake about it, this is all about going after the Christian Church. Same-sex marriage, GLAAD's fascist rampages, and all of this Orwellian political correctness is part of long-term goal -- and that's to make Christian beliefs a form of bigotry and to force a left-wing agenda on the church all under a Trojan horse labelled "discrimination."

The Weekly has obtained a video recorded in the immediate moments following the Anaheim Police Department shooting to death unarmed Manuel Diaz.

The source (who requested anonymity) was on the scene, and audio from the video confirms what eyewitness accounts have confirmed but which police refuse to do: that Diaz was shot in the head. The most harrowing part of the video, however, is the fact that Diaz was alive--and police stood there for over three minutes and did nothing. Instead, they seem more concerned with pushing witnesses away from the scene, the better to diminish the video quality of the footage, when they weren't actively trying to block the source from recording.
