Watch Vice President Joe Biden give the already debunked meme about a gay soldier being booed at the last GOP debate an utterly shameless second round of media attention.

The lies here are of omission but lies nonetheless. Not a single "View" hen nor the Vice President of the United States bothers to make the facts of this incident clear, certainly not Biden as he all but bites his lower lip Clinton-style over how ghastly it all was. And yet, here's what we all know really happened...

In the wake of the Arab Spring, the Obama administration is grappling with how to handle Islamists, radical adherents to Islam.

Particularly, the issue has come to the fore in regards to Egypt, which, as Reuel Marc Gerecht notes, "is now certain" to elect "an Islamist" as its leaders the next time the Egyptian people go to the polls. But some in the Obama administration are now seeing things differently. "The war on terror is over," a senior official in the State Department official tells the National Journal. "Now that we have killed most of al Qaida, now that people have come to see legitimate means of expression, people who once might have gone into al Qaida see an opportunity for a legitimate Islamism."

Judge Napolitano weighed in on the White House's "nudge squad" this morning on Fox and Friends. The team of government experts will encourage you to do things like pay your back taxes, save more money, eat better, and exercise more.

The idea actually cracked Judge Napolitano up. "I'm laughing cause what will they think of next?! The government can't deliver the mail and they want to tell us to fix the broken screens in our house and clean our attics and change the oil in our cars? These are not functions of government." "If the Constitution protects anything ... it protects the right to be different. We don't need the government in our faces telling us how to live," Napolitano said.

In April 2013, police officers and a social worker from Sacramento County's Child Protective Services entered the home of Anna and Alex Nikolayev and took their baby, Sammy, away from them. They had no warrant.

The secrecy surrounding CPS stems from the nature of California's juvenile dependency courts which only allow limited press access and seal all court records. While media and other interested parties can petition the court to open the records, this can be a lengthy process and by no means guarantees results. ReasonTV petitioned the court to open the records in the Nikolayev's case and, almost two months later, we have still not received a ruling from the judge.

Carney prompted laughter from the White House reporters when he defended President Obama's decision to invoke executive privilege in response to a congressional subpoena for internal executive branch documents.

There is no White House cover-up; the Justice Department has given Congress "every page related to the Fast and Furious operation;" and congressional Republicans are focused on a "politically motivated, taxpayer-funded, election-year fishing expedition," White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters on Thursday. "This is about principle," Carney said. It has nothing to do -- (laughter) -- no, no this has nothing to do -- we have been absolutely clear about the fact that this operation (Fast and Furious) used a tactic that originated in a field office that was flawed, that was wrong, and that had terrible consequences for the Terry family, and should not have been employed."

On Thursday's show, Rush Limbaugh slammed President Obama for circumventing Senatorial approval for his appointments to the National Labor Relations Board and a consumer protection bureau.

"Obama has just said because the Congress won't do what I want them to do, I'm going to do it myself. That is extra-constitutional. That is not the way this government was set up." After criticizing those in the media who portrayed Obama as looking out for the economy (rather than as exceeding his presidential authority), Limbaugh explained his view of the proper relationship between Congress and the president.

Earlier this week, a little-known rapper who goes by the monicker "Rob Hustle" released a song that's quickly racking up views on Youtube.

Titled 'Call the Cops,' it's a catchy tune, but a depressing catalogue of some of the most prominent recent abuses committed by law enforcement in recent years. Hustle warns that when you call the cops, you often put your own life at risk. It's a problem that Reason readers are certainly familiar with. His music video shows countless clips of officers punching, pepper spraying, and otherwise brutalizing people.

An artist honored by the White House for AIDS activism sued New York City, claiming police illegally arrested her for filming officers stopping and frisking black teenagers outside her house.

Hadiyah Charles sued New York City, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly, his Officers Pamela Benites and Raymond Williams, and a John Doe officer, in Federal Court. President Obama declared Hadiyah Charles, a 34-year-old artist, a "Champion of Change" in the fight against HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. The NYPD's stop-and-frisk policy has been the subject of several federal lawsuits. Charles claims she was arrested after she pointed her smartphone at "police harassment" of teenagers outside her home six months ago.

The head of the American Federation of Teachers on Monday complained about "those who blame teachers for everything that goes wrong in our schools... but do nothing to support us in our work."

In a speech at the AFT's conference in Washington, Randi Weingarten did not name names, but she did mention "so-called reformers" and those "on high" who try to improve education with "one-size-fits-all" remedies. "It's time to stop talking about the importance of teacher quality. It's time to start building a high-quality education system by cultivating high-quality educators-from excellent teacher colleges, with ample clinical experience, focused induction, and ongoing professional support throughout a teacher's career, in an environment that fosters respect." Weingarten called for "new reality," in which teaching becomes a "sustainable profession" rather than a "service project" or a temporary job.

If you aren't creeped out by the No Birth Control Left Behind rhetoric of the White House and Planned Parenthood, you aren't listening closely enough. The anesthetic of progressive benevolence always dulls the senses. Wake up.

When a bunch of wealthy white women and elite Washington bureaucrats defend the trampling of religious liberties in the name of "increased access" to "reproductive services" for "poor" women, the ghost of Margaret Sanger is cackling. As she wrote in her autobiography, Sanger founded Planned Parenthood in 1916 "to stop the multiplication of the unfit." This, she boasted, would be "the most important and greatest step towards race betterment."
