It's interesting how a discussion about vaccination can quickly become heated and sometimes even hostile.

Would the same debate rage over an antibiotic or an antihypertensive medicine if there was evidence the drug was causing harm? When it becomes obvious that thousands have been injured by a drug such as Vioxx, it is removed from the market. We stop the use of drugs until they are proven safe. And we sue.

Second Cervical Cancer Vaccine Ready for Market

A second cervical cancer vaccine has passed a key clinical trial and its maker is seeking to use the vaccine in countries around the world.

GlaxoSmithKline has initiated a study comparing Cervarix with Gardisil to see if one vaccine is more effective than the other. So far, no data is available.

JEDDAH -- A ghostly television advert for a new type of pneumococcal vaccine has caused a mad rush of parents flocking to hospitals to vaccinate their young children.

The pneumococcal advert begins with the camera showing a set of musical toys dangling over a baby's cot and then moving to show the cot empty followed by a flash of writing saying the baby has died due to not being vaccinated. The advert further urged parents to vaccinate their young children.

El Dorado County health department offers free vaccinations against several diseases to 11 and 12 year old students Tuesday, September 11, 2007.

The county is offering the following shots: a vaccine against meningitis and blood poisoning, one against tetanus-diptheria and whooping cough, another one for the flu shot, and finally, for girls, the HPV vaccine which can guard against some types of cervical cancer.

Remember when the FDA said VIOXX was safe? It's not, many died, thousands had strokes (my brother included); this "safe" drug was pulled and lawsuits burned up the Xerox machines.

Treachery is defined as: violation of faith; betrayal of trust. That's exactly what's been happening in this country for decades: treachery by career politicians whose favors have been bought by the big pharmaceutical companies who have betrayed the trust of those they claim to want to help, when in dozens of cases they knew their product was dangerous, but pushed for passage by the FDA for mega billions.

A U.S. soldier who is serving in Iraq is being punished for refusing an anthrax vaccine that has a questionable safety record, and apparently will be drummed out of the service.

But such punishments may be of no avail to the military; the word already is out in a government report that up to an estimated 44,000 servicemembers could end up with "severe adverse events (including) disability or death" from such mandatory medicines.

A Maryland school district has ordered parents of more than 2,300 students to court Saturday for failure to immunize their children. The parents could face fines and jail time if they do not appear.

The students, in grades five through 10, will be required to report to court with their parents. While students can expect to be vaccinated before they leave the courthouse, parents will be lectured to by Circuit Court Judge Philip Nichols Jr. on the necessity of vaccination.

News networks and state authorities are once again engaging in mass public deception by claiming that vaccines for children are mandated by law and that parents will go to jail if kids do not take their shots. In reality, there is no law that says you have to vaccinate your children and waiver forms for personal or religious exemptions are freely available.
