Obama Proposed Vaccine Cuts, But White House Blamed Sequestration

The Obama administration claims that because of the $44 billion in across-the-board spending cuts (sequestration) this year, tens of thousands of American children will not be vaccinated.

However, the idea to cut the vaccination program - at a rate higher than sequestration might do - was introduced by the president himself in his 2013 budget proposal over a year ago. On its website, the White House displays an interactive map where viewers can track how many children it claims will not receive vaccines due to sequestration.

As part of their sequestration-scaremongering roundup, the White House went straight for the worst-case scenarios that would hit all of the federal government's departments and agencies in the spending cuts' wake - terrible calamities, like "hundreds of thousands of Americans" losing access "to primary care and preventive care like flu vaccinations and cancer screenings." The administration circulated their state-by-state report through Congress to that effect, detailing how thousands fewer children would receive vaccinations as a direct result.

Centers for Disease Control Director Dr. Thomas Freiden could not say whether his agency assisted the White House in preparing an estimate on the number of children in Maryland who supposedly would not get vaccines because of the sequester spending cuts, even though the CDC oversees the vaccination program that is used throughout the states.

Flu Shot Doing Poor Job of Protecting Older People

It turns out this year's flu shot is doing a startlingly dismal job of protecting older people, the most vulnerable age group.

The vaccine is proving only 9 percent effective in those 65 and older against the harsh strain of the flu that is predominant this season, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Thursday. Health officials are baffled as to why this is so. But the findings help explain why so many older people have been hospitalized with the flu this year.

Just about one year ago, I told you about some of the code words that are devised in the back rooms and inner sanctums of power. These words are repeated over and over in order to dumb us down and create conditioned responses.

While we know in our subconscious the true meaning of most of these words, repetition ad nauseam of their changed definition causes the new definition to be adopted by the masses and then accepted as conventional wisdom. The words and phrases are then used to drive the debate and create ready acceptance of laws and policies that reduce liberty. Once they are adopted, challenges to these newly accepted definitions are ridiculed and dismissed. Here are some more code words or phrases to add to the list...

Let's face it. As parents, we're inundated with mixed messages about vaccines.

On one hand, doctors and mainstream media tell you how effective and safe vaccines are. On the other hand, you have parents like me who claim vaccines injured their children, or, in this case, that vaccines really "don't work" as advertised. What is often quickly forgotten is how often (and badly) vaccines fail. Ask yourself, "Why don't these vaccine failures regularly make the news?" If you can imagine in your mind's eye, for a moment, the cash register "cha-chinging" while Big Pharma is pulling out a wad of cash, I think you may be getting close to the real answer. Virologists Complaints Lead To Lawsuit Over Mumps Vaccine

Two former Merck virologists claim in a False Claims Act complaint - just recently unsealed - that Merck knowingly falsified its mumps vaccine test data and issued a vaccine that it knew was not as effective against the disease as it claimed.

In fact, the efficacy of the vaccine was not known because it was tested in blood samples that were intentionally contaminated with rabbit antibodies to make the vaccine appear to be 95 percent effective in order to allow Merck to maintain a FDA-supported monopoly on the vaccine and continue to rake in hundreds of millions in profits. According to the complaint, this fraud allowed the spread of mumps in children that would have otherwise been protected against the disease.

SARS-Linked Virus May Have Spread Between People

British officials say a mysterious virus related to SARS may have spread between humans, as they confirmed the 11th case worldwide of the new coronavirus in a patient who they say probably caught it from a family member.

The new virus was first identified last year in the Middle East and the 10 people who have previously been infected had all traveled to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan or Pakistan. According to Britain's Health Protection Agency, the latest patient is a U.K. resident with no recent travel to any of those countries but who had close personal contact with an earlier case. The patient may also have been at greater risk of infection due to an underlying medical condition and is currently in intensive care at a Birmingham hospital.

FDA approves first GMO flu vaccine containing reprogrammed insect virus

A new vaccine for influenza has hit the market, and it is the first ever to contain genetically-modified proteins derived from insect cells. According to reports, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently approved the vaccine, known as Flublok.

According to Flublok's package insert, the vaccine is trivalent, which means it contains GM proteins from three different flu strains. The vaccine's manufacturer, Protein Sciences Corporation (PSC), explains that Flublok is produced by extracting cells from the fall armyworm, a type of caterpillar, and genetically altering them to produce large amounts of hemagglutinin, a flu virus protein that enables the flu virus itself to enter the body quickly.
