Virologists Complaints Lead To Lawsuit Over Mumps Vaccine

Two former Merck virologists claim in a False Claims Act complaint - just recently unsealed - that Merck knowingly falsified its mumps vaccine test data and issued a vaccine that it knew was not as effective against the disease as it claimed.

In fact, the efficacy of the vaccine was not known because it was tested in blood samples that were intentionally contaminated with rabbit antibodies to make the vaccine appear to be 95 percent effective in order to allow Merck to maintain a FDA-supported monopoly on the vaccine and continue to rake in hundreds of millions in profits. According to the complaint, this fraud allowed the spread of mumps in children that would have otherwise been protected against the disease.

The UN has launched a campaign to vaccinate children in these areas to wipe the disease out once and for all. However, the Taliban in Pakistan and Afghanistan has decided that this effort is an American conspiracy to "make men less manly and make women more excited and less bashful" - and have begun assassinating aid workers who only hoped to save children from the ravages of what should be an extinct disease...

Via Breitbart TV, here's the worst beating Perry's taken in either debate, made doubly brutal by Bachmann's rhetorical framing as a mother standing up for young children.

And it's actually a two-fer: Not only does she hit him on the vaccine itself, she pushes the cronyism angle by noting Merck's lobbying. I can't quite believe that his candidacy will be sunk by overzealousness in wanting little girls vaccinated for cancer, especially when his chief rival has major health-care liabilities of his own, but note the crowd reaction here. They've been on his side all night but they're emphatically not on his side this time. Is that because he did a surprisingly poor job of parrying the attack or has he simply lost on this issue?

It's interesting how a discussion about vaccination can quickly become heated and sometimes even hostile.

Would the same debate rage over an antibiotic or an antihypertensive medicine if there was evidence the drug was causing harm? When it becomes obvious that thousands have been injured by a drug such as Vioxx, it is removed from the market. We stop the use of drugs until they are proven safe. And we sue.

Gian Paolo Vanoli, a 70-year-old scientist, journalist and opponent of vaccinations, says that vaccines make people gay.

The vaccine is introduced into the child, the child then grows and tries to find its own personality, and if this is inhibited by mercury or other substances present in the vaccine which enter the brain, the child becomes gay. The problem will especially be present in the next generations, because when gays have children, the children will carry along with them the DNA of their parent's illness. Because homosexuality is a disease, even though the WHO has decided that it is not. Who cares!

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is a difficult subject to discuss for obvious reasons. The death of a small child is horribly tragic, a loss for which there is very little consolation.

It is also a necessary subject for the same reason, especially when a correlation exists between common infant vaccinations (such as the vaccine for pertussis) and sudden infant death syndrome. Are Vaccines Linked to SIDS? A study that was published in 2011 in a scientific journal by Neil Z. Miller and Gary S. Goldman concluded that in nations where there was an increase in vaccinations, there was also an increase in the occurrence of SIDS. The graph below shows that as the vaccine rate increases, infant mortality also rises.

A new scientific review from Poland discusses irreparable harm done by vaccines. This review addresses the issue in terms of adverse effects, immune system effects, neurological symptoms following vaccination, and a history of vaccines demonstrating little benefit. It centers mostly on studies not often referenced in the western world, providing fresh and broad-ranging information. An honest reading of the study can leave little doubt that harm done may be extensive and often permanent.
