We have some real problems and they are only going to get worse. We have a right to know what we are eating. People are getting allergies, this isn't normal folks. If we don't pay attention to what's happening, in our food supply, to our farmers, the plants, and ultimately our grocery store we are going to wake up one day and realize we trusted the health of our children and the health of our families to the government. And the government let us down.

One week ago workers found a tunnel filled with radioactive waste caved in at the Hanford nuclear site in southeast Washington. State officials and tribes are calling for quick cleanup action.

Historian Michele Gerber wrote a 64-page report on the history of the PUREX plant 24 years ago. PUREX is short for the Plutonium Uranium Extraction Plant. And now, its tunnels are infamous since the cave-in was discovered. The plant was built from 1953 to 1955 and opened "hot" in January 1956.

It's never been done before. The first-of-its-kind study of vaccinated vs. unvaccinated American homeschooled children shows who is really ailing... and parents should be worried.

Something is wrong with America's children. They are sick - allergic, asthmatic, anxious, autoimmune, autistic, hyperactive, distracted and learning disabled. Thirty-two million American children - a full 43% of them - suffer from at least one of 20 chronic illnesses not including obesity. Across the board, once rare pediatric disorders from autism and ADD to Type 1 diabetes and Tourette's syndrome are soaring, though few studies pool the data. Compared to their parents, children today are four times more likely to have a chronic illness.

I am often asked if there is a way to deal with autoimmune disease, the most common chronic disease - the most common question being "Is there any way to deal with this without taking powerful anti-inflammatory drugs that often have serious side effects?"

Autoimmune diseases are a huge problem in this country. As a whole, autoimmune diseases affect over 80 million Americans and five percent of the population in Western countries. They include type 1 diabetes, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, colitis, Crohn's disease, and dozens of others, but they all have one thing in common: The body attacks itself. Autoimmune diseases, like rheumatoid arthritis or RA, often include challenging symptoms such as pain, swelling, fatigue, and disability. At their root, one central biochemical process connects these seemingly disparate diseases: A runaway immune response, called systemic inflammation, inevitably results in your body attacking its own tissues.

In 2017, cannabis is now more legal and accessible than ever. And its growing use is presenting new problems for law enforcement. Chief among those issues is how to handle folks who chief and drive.

This issue is this: there is no reliable way to test how cannabis use influences driving. And in fact, several studies show that marijuana use does not impact driving ability very much . In light of this, an Arizona court ruled last week that legal medical cannabis patients can fight their DUI charges.

It has been known for years that marijuana is effective in alleviating the symptoms associated with multiple sclerosis, HIV/AIDS, chemotherapy-induced nausea, and intractable pain. Research dating back to the 1980's found that medical cannabis could help.

More recently, the use of medical cannabis in children with severe forms of epilepsy has received a great deal of attention. The American public became aware of this application for cannabis when Dr. Sanjay Gupta's documentary, "Weed," was broadcast on CNN in August of 2013. The documentary featured the case of Charlotte Figi of Colorado, a five-year-old suffering from Dravet's Syndrome, a treatment-resistant genetic disorder characterized by nearly constant seizures.

When B. Paul Turpin was admitted to a Tennessee hospital in January last year, the biggest concern was whether the 69-year-old endocrinologist would survive. But as he battled a life-threatening infection.

Researchers estimate that about 40 percent of delirium cases are preventable. Many cases are triggered by the care patients receive - especially large doses of anti-anxiety drugs and narcotics to which the elderly are sensitive - or the environments of hospitals themselves: busy, noisy, brightly lit places where sleep is constantly disrupted and staff changes frequently.

When questioned about any regrets they had or anything they would do differently, common themes surfaced again and again. Here are the most common five:

I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me. This was the most common regret of all. When people realize that their life is almost over and look back clearly on it, it is easy to see how many dreams have gone unfulfilled. Most people had not honored even a half of their dreams and had to die knowing that it was due to choices they had made, or not made.
