Medical Health News

We have some real problems and they are only going to get worse. We have a right to know what we are eating. People are getting allergies, this isn't normal folks. If we don't pay attention to what's happening, in our food supply, to our farmers, the plants, and ultimately our grocery store we are going to wake up one day and realize we trusted the health of our children and the health of our families to the government. And the government let us down.

Wild bees, such as this Andrena bee visiting highbush blueberry flowers, play a key role in boosting crop yields.

Some of the most healthful foods you can think of - blueberries, cranberries, apples, almonds and squash - would never get to your plate without the help of insects. No insects, no pollination. No pollination, no fruit. Farmers who grow these crops often rely on honeybees to do the job. But scientists are now reporting that honeybees, while convenient, are not necessarily the best pollinators.

This video provides a simple, yet profound lesson. The radio frequency (microwave) radiation being transmitted from your wireless router or modem is extremely toxic and detrimental to your health. Notice how high the measurements are on the RF meter!

Most of us are living and working in this type of RF radiation exposure every single day and night. The fix, or remediation is simple. Plug your modem or router into your computer using an Ethernet cord (hardwire), and "disable" the wireless function on your modem or router. This is very important for the health and safety of all those in your home or office. If you need to use the wireless function, then turn it on for a short time, do your task or watch your movie, then disable it once again. Never leave your wireless internet on all night as it will cause sleep disturbances which lead to even worse health issues. The fix is simple! Use an Ethernet cord and disable the wireless function.

People are being exposed to higher levels of the substitute for BPA in cash register thermal paper receipts and many of the other products that engendered concerns about the health effects of bisphenol A, according to a new study.

Believed to be the first analysis of occurrence of bisphenol S (BPS) in thermal and recycled paper and paper currency, the report appears in ACS' journal Environmental Science & Technology. Kurunthachalam Kannan and colleagues point out that growing evidence of the potentially toxic effects of BPA has led some manufacturers to replace it with BPS in thermal paper and other products. BPS is closely related to BPA, with some of the same estrogen-mimicking effects, and unanswered questions exist about whether it is safer.

The federally funded WIC program is illegally harassing poor mothers and threatening their unvaccinated children with starvation by withholding of benefits.

In case you were wondering just how out of control things have gotten as a result of the one-sided, astroturfed media feeding frenzy in recent weeks targeting the unvaccinated, here is one for the record books. Welcome to 1935 Germany -- 2015 America. Will the unvaccinated be forced to wear the modern equivalent of a yellow Star of David at some point in the near future? Not so far fetched in my estimation given the current environment filled with irrational, hate filled disinformation that has little to do with objective science let alone tolerance within the context of a supposedly free society.

Everywhere you turn, you hear "organic is healthier", "organic is greener", or "you absolutely MUST buy organic." It's not a question of whether we want to eat healthy, environmentally friendly food -- who doesn't want that?

The question is whether organic lives up to the hype and whether it's worth it to pay a hefty premium. One of the problems with organic is that few shoppers know what the term really means, and they project onto the nebulous word all their hopes and dreams of good eating. Despite what many believe, organic doesn't mean food from small farms, produced without pesticides, or grown in the USA. There are a few advantages to eating organic but there are some drawbacks too.

We're not buying Girl Scout Cookies this year and think you shouldn't either. Consider the GMOs, trans fat, high fructose corn syrup and other reasons we highlight. Our young girls deserve better.

Settled in to these resolutions yet? Then it must be time for Girl Scout Cookies to go on sale. I used to think there was something spectacularly special about them. Our dietitian, Mary Hartley, RD, reminds that they may be a sentimental favorite, but they are not healthy food. In fact, there's nothing remarkable about these cookies. Never once in my years in the Scouts do I recall having a conversation about fruits and vegetables, exercise, or nutrition. I do remember ending each meeting (spent entirely sitting down) devouring packaged chocolate chip cookies and Kool-Aid. I remember my troop leaders pushing us to sell, not teaching us the ingredients in the cookies or why the nutrition mattered. I might be guessing here, but I don't expect that's changed much today. To be more specific, let me tell you exactly why any of us shouldn't be buying these cookies.

Every year around this time, the vaccine industry, through its vast network of corporate-government health agencies and mass media partners, begins drumming fear into the minds of the public about seasonal flu in order to drive as many people as possible to get vaccinated with a flu shot. And it seems as though every year, more and more evidence also comes to light illustrating precisely why people should not get a flu shot, at least not without carefully considering the serious ramifications of participating in this annual injection ritual.

One of the hot terms occupying the center ring of the political circus these days is "income inequality." (See what I did there?)

It's become so popular, in fact, that the Congressional Budget Office has jumped on the bandwagon and produced a study on it. Right off the bat, I would note that there is something inherently stirring for Americans about the term inequality. We don't like it and we never have. The long term trend of our nation's admittedly flawed past has been to eliminate, not reinforce, instances of inequality.

Most people remain clueless about the real dangers of wireless technology.  Discover what the health experts are saying and how to protect yourself.

Wireless devices emit radio frequency radiation or microwave radiation at the rate of billions of cycles per second. Thousands of peer-reviewed studies point to the link between these exposures and a long list of adverse biological health effects and very serious diseases, including brain tumors, cancer and cardiovascular disease.
