We have some real problems and they are only going to get worse. We have a right to know what we are eating. People are getting allergies, this isn't normal folks. If we don't pay attention to what's happening, in our food supply, to our farmers, the plants, and ultimately our grocery store we are going to wake up one day and realize we trusted the health of our children and the health of our families to the government. And the government let us down.

After the various problems and scandals faced by the Department of Veterans Affairs, President Obama signed into law a new heath care bill which would make it easier for veterans to receive government-paid health care.

Months of negotiations in Congress finally led to bipartisan support of the bill upon being passed. According to Politico, before signing the bill, President Obama took the chance to say the support for the bill "doesn't happen often in Congress." The president also took the chance, as he signed the bill, to say he wished he had the chance to sign more bills passed by Congress, joking about the numerous stalemates faced by Congress. President Obama said this bill is the first step in a long process to fix the many problems plaguing the VA. However, the president also highlighted the remaining problems which veterans face everyday including veteran homelessness and the backlog of disability claims throughout the VA.

A new report released by the Drug Policy Alliance and the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, says the DEA has spent the last four decades thwarting marijuana research which carries the potential of reclassification for the drug.

"The DEA has argued for decades that there is insufficient evidence to support rescheduling marijuana," reads the executive summary of the report. "At the same time, it has... acted in a manner intended to systematically impede scientific research." Currently, marijuana is classified as a Schedule I drug, meaning the federal government does not recognize any acceptable uses for the drug, including medicinal uses. The status of Schedule I also means the drugs in this category cannot receive federal funding for research, medicinal or otherwise. Marijuana is joined on the Schedule I tier by peyote, LSD, and heroine.

While the proliferation of wireless devices has made accessing the internet more convenient and less obtrusive (no unsightly cables lying around), studies are now revealing the trade-offs that come with convenience.

More specifically, the dangers that the widespread adoption of wireless technology has created in regards to our health. Simply put, most people underestimate the dangers of wireless technology to our health and well-being. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year One of the most dangerous aspects of wireless is the "always-on" nature of it. The vast majority of people who use wireless routers set them up and never turn them off. This means that they are constantly generating a dangerous electromagnetic energy field 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

CPS Corruption and Human Trafficking Exposed in San Luis Obispo Republicans Sam Blakeslee and Able Maldonado have teamed together for a child charity in the greater San Luis Obispo area named "The Family Care Connection".

While promoting this charity both politicians refuse to review corruption in the local CPS office. Legislation gives states incentives under Title IV-E to increase the number of children adopted out from foster care. Title IV funding provided to local CPS offices is being used for capturing and adopting out children. However, not all of these children are abused or neglected. Many children who are taken by CPS are not at risk or in any danger thus our Government is creating a form of "child trafficking". Children are becoming a very "profitable commodity". Under section 1962(b) of the RICO Act it unlawful for a person to acquire or maintain an interest in an enterprise through a pattern of racketeering activity. Since a RICO claim cannot be made in the absence of criminal activity many parents are being unjustly prosecuted in kangaroo courts so that children can remain in the "system".

The ongoing debt-ceiling debate (unlike most past increases of the debt ceiling) has involved negotiations about various avenues to deficit reduction.

That's not only because Republicans have the leverage to demand something in return for raising the limit, but also in large part because the debate comes amidst grave worries about our mounting debt, and warnings from creditors and rating agencies about where it's headed. The warnings are based on the unprecedented projected trajectory of the debt. Here is how the CBO sees it going, compared to the scope of our national debt in the past...

Today on Your World, Neil Cavuto reported that dozens of routine health care procedures may be on the chopping block. Several doctor groups issued recommendations to limit testing on everything from breast cancer screenings to E.K.G. tests.

This call is seen as an acknowledgement by physicians that many profitable tests and procedures are performed unnecessarily and even harmed patients. Furthermore, new mammography guidelines that advised women to be screened less often for breast cancer, have caused fear among some women about increasing government control over personal care decisions and the rationing of treatment.

The recent recession wiped out nearly two decades of Americans' wealth, according to government data released Monday, with middle-class families bearing the brunt of the decline.

The Federal Reserve said the median net worth of families plunged by 39 percent in just three years, from $126,400 in 2007 to $77,300 in 2010. That puts Americans roughly on par with where they were in 1992. The data represent one of the most detailed looks at how the economic downturn altered the landscape of family finance. Over a span of three years, Americans watched progress that took almost a generation to accumulate evaporate. The promise of retirement built on the inevitable rise of the stock market proved illusory for most. Homeownership, once heralded as a pathway to wealth, became an albatross.
