Medical Health News

We have some real problems and they are only going to get worse. We have a right to know what we are eating. People are getting allergies, this isn't normal folks. If we don't pay attention to what's happening, in our food supply, to our farmers, the plants, and ultimately our grocery store we are going to wake up one day and realize we trusted the health of our children and the health of our families to the government. And the government let us down.

Apparently there are not enough chemicals already added to our drinking water, as there is now a call by “experts” to further poison our water supplies by adding Lithium. Their main reason is to decrease suicide and violent crime rates.

So is this how we wish to function as a society? Instead of dealing with our issues at hand, let’s drug ourselves so that we don’t have to deal with personal subjects that may be perceived as hard, negative or scary. This is not a time for putting our heads in the sand and pretending or even hoping that an issue will just resolve itself. Where is the personal growth in that? Don’t you feel elated when you resolve a personal issue that no longer hangs over your head or weights on your mind? It is more important than ever to clear ourselves of past issues that we have held onto and allow more room for the new energies coming to earth to take its place within our being.

Yawn. Liberal journalists in the tank for Obama are claiming that conservatives are "outraged" and "enraged" by Hollywood femme Lena Dunham's campaign ad comparing her "first time" voting for Obama with losing her virginity.

You can watch the video and see all the starlets a-Twitter over the ad here. Doug Powers weighed in last night. I'm not "outraged." I'm bored. These privileged young Democrat celebs haven't stopped yapping and giggling about birth control and their swoon-worthy birth control supplier in the White House all year. Zzzzzzzzzzz. They've demanded RESPECT! and wheedled about the "war on women" while dressed as giant VAGINAS!

The massive controversy over Texas Gov. Rick Perry's appalling 2007 executive order mandating that all young girls in his state receive Merck & Co.'s Gardasil vaccine before entering school has brought the issue of the vaccine's safety and effectiveness, or lack thereof, back to the forefront of the national conversation. And a European physician has now openly spoken out against Gardasil, claiming that it is both dangerous and completely ineffective at preventing cervical cancer.

A Colorado teenager named Coltyn Turner just celebrated the 22nd month of his debilitating Crohn's Disease being in remission, after beginning cannabis oil treatment.

The Turner family was forced to move to Colorado, from Illinois, in an effort to allow Coltyn to use his medication without fear of being considered a criminal and thrown in a cage, although the young man has been fearless in his resolve.

This weekend, a video produced by Free Market America went live on YouTube - and it is racking up nationwide hits. Deservedly so.

The Earth Day-timed message is compelling and extremely relevant this campaign season. As the group writes: "The environmental agenda has been infected by extremism - it's become an economic suicide pact. And we're here to challenge it."

"Most epileptics are magnesium deficient. I wish I had found this out 40 years ago. Now I can even drive a car and ride a bike. It is so wonderful not to have seizures anymore plus not have to depend on drugs all the time and of course be free of drugs.

Sarah and her fiancé Richard wanted to have children as soon as they were married. Sarah had just been diagnosed with epilepsy, however, and was offered Phenobarbital as therapy. She and Richard read up on the drug, and now knew, as did their doctor, that pregnancy while taking a barbiturate was not ideal. "So we want to look into other options," Sarah said to me in the office. "Could vitamins replace the drug?"

From "significant" to "natural," here are seven scientific terms that can prove troublesome for the public and across research disciplines

Hypothesis. Theory. Law. These scientific words get bandied about regularly, yet the general public usually gets their meaning wrong. Now, one scientist is arguing that people should do away with these misunderstood words altogether and replace them with the word "model." But those aren't the only science words that cause trouble, and simply replacing the words with others will just lead to new, widely misunderstood terms, several other scientists said. "A word like 'theory' is a technical scientific term," said Michael Fayer, a chemist at Stanford University. "The fact that many people understand its scientific meaning incorrectly does not mean we should stop using it. It means we need better scientific education."

Auburn, Washington resident Dustin Theoharis was asleep in his bed on February 11, 2012 when two armed strangers entered his room and started to give him orders. Understandably startled, Theoharis reached for a flashlight.

This prompted the two intruders to open fire. Theoharis - who was still in bed -- was shot sixteen times, but survived. The assailants who shot Theoharis were Detective Aaron Thompson of the King County Sheriff's Office and Corrections Officer Kris Rongen. They had arrested Theoharis's roommate, Nicholas Harrison, an ex-convict who had failed to report for community supervision. The officers were searching his bedroom to find if Theoharis had a gun, which would have allowed them to charge Harrison with a parole violation. They had no warrant or probable cause, and no gun was found. Since Harrison was already in custody at the time of the incident, there was no need to conduct a "safety sweep" of the residence.

In case you don't know what Cavuto's referencing, here's what happens to a left-wing cable network when news is slow...

Per Cavuto, turns out that horse-riding can in fact be therapeutic for people with MS. But never mind that. Why would O'Donnell even think to challenge Romney's wife on that? Even if she was the only MS sufferer in the world who finds strength in dressage, what reason is there to doubt her? Does he think she'd lie about her illness as some sort of cover story to justify a hobby that's a little too snooty even for the expensive tastes of a millionaire like Scary Larry?

From a story in today's Wash Post titled, "Libertarians Flex Their Muscle in the GOP"...

Libertarianism once again appears to be on the rise, particularly among the young. But its alliance with the Republican establishment is fraying, as demonstrated by the increasingly personal war of words between two leading potential 2016 presidential contenders.... The "once again" is appreciated, though any honest appraisal of partisan politics would acknowledge that libertarianism has been the next big thing for going on 45 years, when the future editor of Wired magazine, Louis Rossetto and his college pal Stan Lehr published "The New Right Credo: Libertarianism" in the January 10, 1971 issue of The New York Times Magazine.
