We have some real problems and they are only going to get worse. We have a right to know what we are eating. People are getting allergies, this isn't normal folks. If we don't pay attention to what's happening, in our food supply, to our farmers, the plants, and ultimately our grocery store we are going to wake up one day and realize we trusted the health of our children and the health of our families to the government. And the government let us down.

A recent ballot challenge hearing in New Jersey exposes a desperate strategy by Obama to distance himself from his forged certificate and induce the contrived value of his transient political popularity as the only "legitimate qualification" needed.

After a Maricopa County law enforcement agency conducted a six-month forensic examination which determined that the image of Obama's alleged 1961 Certificate of Live Birth posted to a government website in April, 2011 is a digital fabrication and that it did not originate from a genuine paper document, arguments from an Obama eligibility lawyer during a recent New Jersey ballot challenge hearing reveals the image was not only a fabrication, but that it was likely part of a contrived plot by counterfeiters to endow Obama with mere political support while simultaneously making the image intentionally appear absurd and, therefore, invalid as evidence toward proving Obama's ineligibility in a court of law. Taking an audacious and shocking angle against the constitutional eligibility mandate, Obama's lawyer, Alexandra Hill, admitted that the image of Obama's birth certificate was a forgery and made the absurd claim that, therefore, it cannot be used as evidence to confirm his lack of natural born citizenship status. Therefore, she argued, it is "irrelevant to his placement on the ballot".

SEATTLE - It took an Amber Alert, and a statewide search, but a 9-month old baby is now back at Children's Hospital and a judge has ordered the hospital to go ahead with surgery.

But it's a surgery the mother, Tina Carlsen, so vehemently opposes, she's now in jail as a result. The family feels betrayed while the state says it's doing what's necessary to save a little boy's life. The state calls it "slow motion death" -- that if Riley Rogers doesn't have surgery and then get dialysis, he will die.

California's Department of Public Health is keeping tight-lipped after being scolded by the Environmental Protection agency for failing to spend $455 million in federal funding to improve the state's water infrastructure.

The state agency has acknowledged it received a letter of non-compliance for holding on to the program's largest unspent sum in the nation. But it says it has no immediate comment about the revelation. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency issued the letter to the state on Friday. The EPA also says the state gave out grants and loans to projects that were not shovel-ready and lacked adequate staffing to administer and track the fund.

The state Senate has approved a bill authorizing more money for a California program that seizes guns from people who are not allowed to have them.

The bill approved today gives $24 million to the state Department of Justice's Armed and Prohibited Persons Program, which is the only one of its kind in the nation. According to the Associated Press, Thursday's 31-0 vote, which included support from eight Republicans, sent SB140 to California's Assembly.

The Assembly Committee on Appropriations voted yesterday along party lines to support AB 2x. Republican Assemblyman Frank Bigelow's Office says it would lock into state law the federal Affordable Care Act requirements.

Assemblyman Bigelow says, "Until we are certain that the Affordable Care Act will not negatively affect the people we serve, the legislation is premature." He adds, "The legislation before the committee to implement the Affordable Care Act does nothing to decrease costs or increase health care access for the people of my district. In fact, this bill would increase costs of insurance premiums, causing my constituents and all Californians to pay more for health care." The vote was 12 to 5 in favor.

California computer upgrade costs are mounting as more problems are halting system overhauls.

The Associated Press reports California officials have canceled a half-finished Department of Motor Vehicles technology overhaul of the vehicle registration process. HP Enterprise Services has so far been paid nearly $50 million on the $208 million project. The LA Times says the DMV registration part of the project was stopped because there was little progress.

Statewide voter registration shows more Californians aren't going to cast their ballots along party lines.

The secretary of state's office reports 3,672,229 have chosen no party preferences. They say that's a new all-time high. The previous record set in June shows a raw-number high of unaffiliated voters was 3,654,608. The secretary of state's office reports more than 17 million Californians are registered to vote ahead of the November presidential election. That represents 72.6 percent of eligible voters, up from 69.8 percent this time four years ago.

Chiropractic care is an alternative medicine based on the belief that "subluxations" in the spine cause a range of ailments, which can be treated by manipulating the spine.

"Immediately after birth, Chirochild practitioners are qualified to assess the nerves, muscles and joints of all babies. After living in a cramped uterus, and the trauma of vaginal and caesarean deliveries, newborn checks are sought by more and more people." Sydney's Family First Chiropractic even believes babies can benefit before they are born, by ensuring mothers are free from subluxations.

Faced with increasingly drug-resistant bacteria, scientists and farmers are now looking to plant extracts to keep people and animals healthy.

A handful of promising, real-life studies have been conducted with humans and other animals, though most of the research in that realm thus far has been conducted in the lab. More controlled trials will be required before some of these applications will be available to the public, but meanwhile, scientists have turned up exciting results in another area of use: countering the growing antibiotic-resistance crisis. "The loss of antibiotics due to antimicrobial resistance is potentially one of the most important challenges the medical and animal-health communities will face in the 21st century," says Dr. Cyril Gay, the senior national program leader at the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Agricultural Research Service.

Odds are you know someone who sells essential oils for a multi-level marketing company, and they might just tout them as a miracle remedy for just about everything.

Anything powerful enough to have a beneficial effect on the body could also have negative effects, says Bauer. "Whether it's a drug, an herb or an essential oil, all should be treated with respect," he says. "What works for one person may not work for the next-or may interfere with medications," he says, or have other side effects. Don't assume it's safe because it's natural, and be aware that "not all essential oil companies test their oils for quality," says Roz Zollinger, a certified aromatherapist, instructor and founder of the Heal Center in Atlanta. Research the company before you buy.
