We have some real problems and they are only going to get worse. We have a right to know what we are eating. People are getting allergies, this isn't normal folks. If we don't pay attention to what's happening, in our food supply, to our farmers, the plants, and ultimately our grocery store we are going to wake up one day and realize we trusted the health of our children and the health of our families to the government. And the government let us down.

What is the "worst nightmare" one can imagine in an encounter between a police officer and a member of the productive class?

One answer is offered by the experience of Eric Garner, who died after being choked and swarmed without cause by a thugscrum of NYPD officers. That nightmare continues for his wife, his six children, his grandchildren, and others who were deprived of his company because of an unprovoked act of criminal aggression by privileged purveyors of government-sanctioned violence. What, on the other hand, is the "worst nightmare" for a police officer in such a situation? In a single word, accountability.

St. Clair and Bibb county authorities are confirming there were roadblocks at several locations in their counties Friday and Saturday asking for blood and DNA samples.

However, the samples were "voluntary" and motorists were paid for them as part of a study, they said. According to Lt. Freddie Turrentine of the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department, it isn't the first time such roadblocks have occurred in the area.

Its name is cellulosic ethanol -- it's nonexistent but oil companies are still being fined by the EPA for not buying into it.

Peering ahead at the worst possible outcomes of Obamacare five years from now, imagine that individuals were being fined by the Department of Health and Human Services for failing to buy health insurance -- even though insurance companies have withdrawn from the market and aren't offering it anymore! Would that be fair?

Governors and mayors across the nation have claimed, liberally, that their emergency powers allow them to ban large groups during the coronavirus pandemic.

They don't want groups gathering in malls, movie theaters or even churches, despite the constitutional protection of religious rights. Liberty Counsel founder Mat Staver noted Kansas City is requiring that churches "submit list of members and attendees along with their names, addresses and telephone numbers to city officials for tracking and surveillance purposes."

The person who may be responsible for more food-related illness and death than anyone in history has been made the US food safety czar. This is no joke.

Michael Taylor, MONSANTO’S VICE PRESIDENT, was just appointed senior advisor to the commissioner of the FDA. This is the same man that was in charge of FDA policy when GMO’s were allowed into the US food supply without undergoing a single test to determine their safety. He “had been Monsanto’s attorney before becoming policy chief at the FDA [and then] he became Monsanto’s Vice President and chief lobbyist. This month [he] became the senior advisor to the commissioner of the FDA. He is now America’s food safety czar. This is no joke.”

Natural induction is only a helping hand - it's usually gentle enough that it won't bring on labor if your body isn't ready. It's not recommended for use before 39-40 weeks.

You should do your own research on any natural induction method before trying it. Make sure you know the risks and are taking the correct amount of any herbal product and don't overstrain yourself with labor inducing exercises.

Investigations in Oregon, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, New York and other states have in recent years found disturbing evidence of police officers abusing steroids. But Connecticut police insist they've never seen it here.

A national expert who's been studying steroid use in all types of subcultures from athletics to the military believes "tens of thousands" of cops all across the U.S. are on such illegal drugs. But the head of the largest police union in this state, a man who spent 20 years with the Milford P.D., says the issue has never even been raised in any Connecticut disciplinary hearing he knows about. A recent scandal in New Jersey turned up 248 public safety officials - most of them cops - who were getting steroids prescribed by a steroid-abusing doctor, and New Jersey officials responded by ordering random police drug testing. But a Connecticut State Police spokesman says his department doesn't do that. Just last month, a federal appeals court ruled a New Jersey police chief was within his rights to order several of his officers to undergo testing for steroids, strip them of their weapons and put them on desk duty.

CNBC's Larry Kudlow is asking publicly what many voters have pondered privately: is President Barack Obama exploding welfare to buy votes?

As Kudlow explains, Mr. Obama's welfare explosion cannot solely be explained by the dismal economy; rather, something known as "categorical eligibility" now allows citizens eligible for one welfare program to automatically or "categorically" be eligible to receive several more. The practice, which began under President George W. Bush, has skyrocketed under Mr. Obama. Indeed, as Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) explained in a letter to USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack earlier this year, research by University of Chicago economist Casey Mulligan has concluded that "most of the increased spending on welfare programs (including food stamps) since 2007 is the result of expansions in eligibility, rather than increases in the number of people who would have been eligible under pre-recession rules."

The 2017 solar eclipse is approaching - but what if you don't have eclipse glasses? No worries, you can appreciate this solar phenomenon using some simple projection devices you can make at home.

Projection devices work by focusing the sun's light onto another surface so that you can safely view the sun indirectly. During a partial solar eclipse, projections of the sun's rays will appear in a crescent shape that changes with the position of the moon! Pinhole projectors are very cool, very old devices that date back thousands of years.

The failure in the county child protection system could hardly have been more abject. Ten-year-old Abdifatah Mohamud was beaten to death last week, a year after he twice called 911 to report that his stepfather was abusing him.

Now the stepfather, Ali Mohamed Mohamud, is charged with murdering the boy. Not just murdering, but bludgeoning, even torturing. Police say the elder Mohamud tied his stepson's hands, stuffed a sock in his mouth and taped it shut with duct tape. Then, they say, Mohamud took a baker's rolling pin and, not once or twice, but 70 times struck the boy, who a full year earlier had cried out for help.
