An oblong sphere of hopes and fear
as lies appear we shed a tear;
tho we do naught as truth is sought.
It cracks to bits for no truth fits,
now everywhere theres nothing there.
I laugh in mirth for this is earth.
Can we ever know illusion?
Are all of your friends real?
But if they're imagination
how would you ever know?
Your minds fill in for loneliness
it covers for itself.
If you are my imagination
how would I ever know?
Am I speaking to myself now;
Or is there someone there?
Or am I going crazy?
And should I even care?
Please would someone tell me
if I speak into a void,
and act as if I'm answered,
when nobody is there.
Johnny was my imaginary friend.
Johnny was but he's gone again.
Johnny was real as anybody.
Johnny was just like everybody.
Johnny Johnny everybody could be Johnny.
Johnny Johnny are you Johnny any more?
