"Peaceful Warrior"

Peaceful Warrior
strike so softly in the bloodless battle
with a silent scream
Nothing here but
everywhere could be much less than it
never ever seemed

Big brother came knockin on an adjacent room
using foot for the door that went too soon
nobody was home by the time that they left
there

Land lady came askin' if i knew what had happened
i figured it best if i played dumb
nobody was likely to be gone a long
time

There was no body no blood and no police line
somehow it looked better than perfect this time
nobody never came home to see it the
same
