"If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter."
                                             -- George Washington

"If we stuck to the Constitution as written, we would have: no federal meddling in our schools; no Federal Reserve; no U.S. membership in the UN; no gun control; and no foreign aid.

We would have no welfare for big corporations, or the "poor"; no American troops in 100 foreign countries; no NAFTA, GATT, or "fast-track"; no arrogant federal judges usurping states rights; no attacks on private property; no income tax. We could get rid of most of the cabinet departments, most of the agencies, and most of the budget."

Liberty Defined: 50 Essential Issues That Affect Our Freedom by Dr. Ron Paul

"Freedom is not defined by safety. Freedom is defined by the ability of citizens to live without government interference. Government cannot create a world without risks, nor would we really wish to live in such a fictional place. Only a totalitarian society would even claim absolute safety as a worthy ideal, because it would require total state control over its citizens' lives. Liberty has meaning only if we still believe in it when terrible things happen and a false government security blanket beckons."
                                             -- Congressman Ron Paul

Gee, George, sorry we pretty much declared you a racist in front of all of America before having all the facts, but Obama's all-in on this one and we're all-in for Obama and since you're a registered Democrat, we think you'll understand.

Zimmerman's suing NBC, Martin's parents are (probably) suing Zimmerman - isn't it time that someone sued the one actor in this case whose motives were most provably malign?

Maybe this is a first small step in sending Corey to join Mike Nifong in disgraced-former-prosecutor obscurity. Ben Kruidbos, Corey's former director of information technology, was fired after testifying at a pre-trial hearing on June 6 that prosecutors failed to turn over potentially embarrassing evidence extracted from Martin's cell phone to the defense, as required by evidence-sharing laws. "We will be filing a whistleblower action in (Florida's Fourth Judicial District) Circuit Court," said Kruidbos' attorney Wesley White, himself a former prosecutor who was hired by Corey but resigned in December because he disagreed with her prosecutorial priorities. He said the suit will be filed within the next 30 days...

The George Zimmerman defense has recently gotten a lucky break.

Angela Corey, Florida's state attorney and the prosecutor against Zimmerman, has been indicted by a citizens' grand jury for allegedly falsifying an arrest warrant and the complaint that led to Zimmerman being charged with the second-degree murder of Trayvon Martin. The indictment accuses Corey of allegedly withholding photographs of Zimmerman's head after the incident. Also, Corey allegedly falsely signed an arrest warrant under oath without including the pictures as evidence. Critics claim that Corey rushed the arrest warrant through because activists were rallying around the Trayvon Martin shooting, demanding that Zimmerman be charged with murder. Critics argue that Corey was attempting to secure a reelection with the support of the activists.

Prosecution star witness Rachel Jeantel, the 19-year-old to whom Trayvon Martin was reportedly speaking while he was being followed by George Zimmerman, admitted again on the stand on Thursday that she had changed her testimony about Zimmerman's words.

Originally, she told police that after Martin asked Zimmerman why he was following him, Zimmerman answered, "What are you talking about?" Later, she changed that to, "What are you doing around here?" As Kathi Belich of WFTV reports, "The first answer could indicate #Zimmermanon9 was not following Martin. The second answer could indicate he was following." Jeantel then testified that she had a friend write a letter to Sybrina Fulton, the mother of Trayvon Martin, stating that Zimmerman had said, "What are you doing around here?" According to Jeantel, the letter was signed "Diamond Eugene." While Jeantel said in testimony that she heard Martin say "get off me," the letter made no mention of that.

George Zimmerman's judge must step aside because of bias, a Florida appellate court ruled Wednesday.

The ruling means a new judge will soon preside over Zimmerman's second-degree murder case in the killing of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin, according to a website set up by Zimmerman's defense team. Zimmerman's lawyer Mark O'Mara filed a motion in July to disqualify Judge Kenneth Lester Jr. But Lester denied the motion, finding it "legally insufficient." O'Mara appealed to Florida's Fifth District Court of Appeal, which disagreed with Lester's finding.

"Meet The Sautners," a promotional ad for the independently made pro-energy documentary "FrackNation," has come under attack by those who want it pulled from YouTube.

"FrackNation" is the brainchild of independent filmmakers Philem McAleer and Ann McElhinney. The movie advertisement features a Dimock, Pa., family, the Sautners, who claim that their water was contaminated with a number of dangerous chemicals including "weapons grade uranium," because of nearby fracking to obtain natural gas. It then goes on to show a group of EPA specialists informing the Dimocks that their water is in fact safe.

Source reveals site had been targeted by 'flagging' campaign.

One of the most popular Christian apologetics YouTube channels has been restored fully to good standing after the account was terminated by Google "for reasons that were never clearly defined," the owner of the channel told WND in an exclusive interview. Pastor Carl Gallups, whose new book "The Magic Man in the Sky" comes out on May 15, credited an article which appeared at WND.com on May 1 with igniting a firestorm of protest from the more than 21,000 subscribers to the PPSimmons YouTube Channel. That helped lead to the right person to find out why the channel was "flagged" and removed from good standing with YouTube, which is owned by Google.
